LONDON, ENGLAND.- The International Ceramics Fair & Seminar takes place this year from the 14th-17th June at the Park Lane Hotel on Piccadilly, London. The fair, founded in 1982 by Brian and Anna Haughton, is one of the worlds most enduring and highly regarded specialist fairs and throughout its existence has consistently brought together leading ceramic specialists, whether dealers or academics, in a setting that successfully combines both the commercial and academic. It is therefore ideally suited to both institutional and private buyers, who have the opportunity to purchase from a second-to-none selection of fine 15th century to contemporary British and Continental pottery, porcelain and glass. All items on view have been strictly vetted for quality and authenticity. Prices start from as little as £100.

The famous 12-part lecture programme attracts extraordinary international interest among those keen to hear about the latest findings and ground-breaking research in the ceramics field. Speakers this year include such distinguished figures as Aileen Dawson from the British Museum, talking about porcelain gifts, acquisitions and bequests to the Museum since 1980, Dr Samuel Wittwer, leading authority on Meissen, from the museum in Potsdam, Germany, who discusses the revolutionary developments in European porcelain between 1800 and 1840, and Janine Skerry, Curator of Ceramics at Colonial Williamsburg in the US, who will be lecturing on salt-glazed stoneware in the museum.

This fairs importance to the art and antiques market cannot be underestimated says Meredith Chilton, Founding Curator of The Gardiner Museum of Ceramic Art in Toronto : The International Ceramics Fair & Seminar in June is quite simply the best week of the year. Organisers Brian and Anna Haughton have achieved something extraordinary: a vital forum that is the lodestone of the ceramics community. . . (an) irresistible combination of accessible objects of the highest calibre and the very latest scholarship.
