GARNERVILLE, NY.- Artist Michael Hurson, 65, died of a heart attack. He had his first exhibition in New York in 1974 in the Project series at the Museum of Modern Art. In 1978 he was featured at the “New Image Painting” exhibition at the Whitney Museum. He was born in Chicagoand studied a bachelor of fine arts degree from the Art Institute. Works by Michael Hurson are in the collections of museums such as the Art Institute of Chicago, the Walker Art Center, the Whitney and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
