The Nexus Fund continues Atlanta Contemporary's commitment to supporting new work.
|
ATLANTA, GA.- Atlanta Contemporary announced the distinguished panel of jurors for the 2026 Nexus Fund. Since its inception, the Nexus Fund has awarded $300,000 in grant funding to Metro Atlanta artists, and this year's selection process will be guided by an exceptional group of artists, curators, and cultural leaders.
Made possible through the Andy Warhol Foundation Regional Regranting Program, the Nexus Fund continues Atlanta Contemporary's commitment to supporting new work from Metro Atlanta's vibrant artistic community. We are honored to serve as a regranting organization and look forward to this year's cohort of grant recipients.
Didi Dunphy is a multidisciplinary artist and curator based in Athens, Georgia, whose work has been exhibited at major venues including Atlanta Contemporary, COCA, and the Telfair Museum. She is the 2022 Georgia Governor's Award for Arts & Humanities recipient, Program Supervisor at the Lyndon House Arts Center, curator for the Highlighting Contemporary Art in Georgia series with the Georgia Museum of Art, and is represented by Whitespace Gallery.
Youmi Efurd is curator of the Richardson Family Art Museum at Wofford College, where she oversees the Fine Arts Collection and organizes exhibitions and programming. Originally from South Korea, she holds a PhD in the history of art from the University of Kansas and develops educational programs that enhance visitor engagement and foster meaningful museum experiences.
Chip Moody is a photographer whose work inserts Black narratives into the photographic canon. He is the 2024-2025 Emerging Artist Fellow at the Atlanta Center for Photography and teaches in the photography department at Georgia State University, where he received his MFA as a Welch Fellow.
Hasani Sahlehe creates tactile, brightly-hued abstract paintings that explore the phenomenological impact of color and shape, often channeling the emotive quality of music into painted form. A 2023 Macdowell Fellow based in Atlanta, his work has been exhibited in solo shows at Atlanta Contemporary, SCAD Museum of Art, and CANADA (New York), and is held in the permanent collections of The High Museum of Art and the Georgia Museum of Art.
