Seattle Art Museum expands board with five trustees
Community leaders join SAM’s board to further shape the museum's future and deepen its community connections.

SEATTLE, WA.- The Seattle Art Museum announced the election of five members to its Board of Trustees: Joanna Beitel, Martha Draves, Margaret Morris, and Jordon Voss, as well as Lyn Grinstein, who previously served from 1995-2017. Voted in on September 30, these Seattle-area leaders join a long-time, committed group responsible for guiding the Museum’s strategic direction and oversight.

"We’re thrilled to welcome Joanna, Martha, Margaret, and Jordon to the board, and to celebrate Lyn’s return as a board member," said SAM board president, Catherine Roche. "Their range of expertise and unwavering passion for the arts and our Seattle community will be essential as we continue to advance SAM's mission and expand our reach across the region and beyond.”

Scott Stulen, SAM’s Illsley Ball Nordstrom Director and CEO, echoed this sentiment, "Each of our new trustees brings unique insights and relationships with our communities. Their involvement will help us forge stronger bonds with those we serve, truly making SAM a place that practices radical hospitality and is a place for all to appreciate art and foster their own creativity. We look forward to their ideas and contributions."
