NEW YORK, NY.- Today, the Asian Cultural Council (ACC) announced the opening of its next global funding cycle, with applications accepted October 1 — November 19, 2025. For 2026 Application Guidelines, please visit: https://www.asianculturalcouncil.org/grant-opportunities.

“We are excited to announce the launch of our annual grant funding cycle, a vital aspect of ACC’s work to foster deep and lasting international dialogue through cultural exchange between the U.S. and Asia,” said Judy Kim, Executive Director of the Asian Cultural Council. “Our fellowship and grant opportunities offer essential support for artists, scholars, arts professionals, and organizations to deeply engage with a culture different from their own, promoting cross-cultural understanding, global collaboration, and personal growth, transcending geography and language.”

Awarded ACC grantees may pursue a diverse range of grant activities from targeted research to open-ended cultural exploration. With a focus on process-driven work that facilitates cultural immersion, relationship-building, and collaboration among peers, ACC grantees cultivate international connections and gain personal experiences during their fellowships.

ACC offers four (4) grants and fellowships including the New York Fellowship, Individual Fellowship, Graduate Fellowship, and Organization Grant. The New York Fellowship is a six-month program providing support to artists and arts and culture professionals to immerse themselves in the cultural life of New York City and the U.S. The Individual Fellowship is similar to the New York Fellowship in its intention but is varied in duration and allows more flexibility regarding location, timing of travel, travel length, and budget. The Graduate Fellowship provides living stipend support to students from ACC’s eligible countries and regions in Asia admitted to graduate degree programs in the U.S. Finally, ACC’s Organization Grant supports organizations conducting programming that will benefit from cultural research, and increased access to artistic communities or cultural resources in a specific country, territory, or region.

Since ACC’s founding over 60 years ago, its grantmaking activities have expanded individual artistic practices and allowed grantees to share their experiences with local and global communities. The Asian Cultural Council (ACC)

The Asian Cultural Council (ACC) is a grant-giving and grant-seeking global nonprofit organization founded and headquartered in New York City that fosters cultural exchange between the U.S. and Asia, and within Asia. ACC provides artists, scholars, arts professionals, and organizations opportunities to engage in cultural exchange activities by offering grants and fellowships during an annual application period. Compared to other grant-giving organizations that fund production-focused activities, ACC’s grant opportunities allow grantees to fully and freely immerse themselves in a culture other than their own to advance international dialogue, understanding, and respect. Since its founding in 1963, ACC has awarded over $100 million to support approximately 6,000 fellowship exchanges across 16 disciplines to grantees from 26 countries and regions.
