VIENNA.- The Museum Moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig presents Concept. Action. Language. Fokus 03: The Viennese Group, Viennese Actionism, Fluxus, and Conceptual Art from the Collection, on view through October 28, 2007. Following up on its presentations of significant art tendencies from the 1960s and 1970s, the Museum shows selected works created by the exponents of the Viennese Group, Viennese Actionism, Body Art, Fluxus, and Conceptual Art. One of the core topics linking these artistic positions to each other is language as well as written and oral articulation. Exploring these issues, the exhibition revolves around the interactions between visual art, literature, and philosophy. Contemporary artistic developments can thus be perceived as a phenomenon marked by complex socio-cultural contexts whose repercussions can still be felt today.
