Mariien Kateryna: Art as a path to healing and social support

Mariien Kateryna, a renowned artist and art therapist, is transforming lives through a unique method of art therapy that combines painting, body art, mehendi, and digital art.

Her programs help people cope with anxiety, find inner harmony, and unlock their creative potential. In 2025, Mariien expanded her influence by launching global educational and charitable projects that make art a tool for personal growth and social support.

Art as therapy
Mariien has developed a method that combines classical art with psychological practices. Participants in her programs paint pictures that reflect their inner world, create body art to explore body perception, or use mehendi as a symbol of their personal stories. These practices help them cope with anxiety and depression and build confidence.

“Art is a mirror of the soul. It allows you to see yourself as you really are,” says Mariien.

Her approach helps participants cope with stress and gain confidence. According to a study by ScienceDirect, art therapy reduces anxiety by activating creative self-expression. Kateryna's method is particularly effective for children from crisis families and adults who have experienced trauma, helping them to restore emotional balance. For example, group art installations at retreats strengthen a sense of community, while individual sessions allow for a deeper understanding of oneself.

“Through creativity, people find a path to self-acceptance and inner peace,” notes Mariien.

Art and fashion in Miami
In 2025, Mariien presented her work at art and fashion events in Miami, integrating body art and mehendi into the world of fashion.

In April, at Florida Men's Fashion Week, she showed paintings that have influenced the world of contemporary fashion. Her unique designs, created on the bodies of models, emphasize the connection between art and self-expression.

“Body art and mehendi allow a person to feel like a work of art,” she says.

At events, she has collaborated with designers to create live installations where models became canvases for her culturally inspired patterns. Her work explores how body art enhances the perception of identity, attracting the attention of an international audience.

“Fashion and art are ways to tell a person's story through visual images,” Mariien emphasizes.

Education and digital art
Mariien actively promotes digital art by teaching artists how to create and promote their work in digital formats. Her online courses on digital art and tokenization have attracted over 1,000 participants from 15 countries.

“Digital art is the future, opening up new markets for artists,” she says.

Her courses help artists master Web3 technologies, creating a sustainable income through digital platforms.

Global recognition
Mariien's work has received international recognition for her innovative approach to art therapy and digital art.

Her projects stand out as a model for integrating art, psychology, and technology. The educational platform she developed has been recognized in professional circles.

“Art should be accessible to anyone seeking healing,” she says. Her work not only helps people, but also inspires a new generation of artists and therapists around the world.

Mariien Kateryna proves that art is not just creativity, but a powerful tool for changing lives and supporting society. Her contribution to art therapy and digital art continues to change the world for the better.
