Print-Ready Checklist tops 250K downloads for folder-printing company

PONTIAC, MI —.- Custom-print specialist Company Folders, Inc. announced today that its free “Print-Ready Checklist” has crossed the quarter-million download mark, making it the most-requested file in the company’s design resource library. First launched in 2014, the single-page guide walks designers through every pre-press step, from bleed settings to font handling, helping ensure trouble-free production on offset and digital presses.

“Hitting 250K proves how hungry creatives are for simple, actionable tools,” said Vladimir Gendelman, founder and CEO of Company Folders. “Every time our pre-press team spots an avoidable error, we add the fix to the checklist. It’s grown into a living snapshot of real-world best practices.”

What the checklist covers

• File formats & color management – preferred export settings, CMYK vs. spot-color guidance, and embedded-profile reminders.

• Image & vector quality – 300 DPI resolution targets and minimum 2-pt strokes for emboss, deboss, or foil layers.

• Layout safety & bleeds – one-eighth inch (3 mm) bleed and safe-zone diagrams for high-capacity folders and deluxe packaging.

• Final inspection – step-by-step proofing tips, font outlining, spell-check prompts, and layer-panel housekeeping.

The PDF download remains free of charge and is accompanied by Illustrator and InDesign templates, plus quick links to the firm’s Folder Design and Binder Design cheat sheets.

Why art-sector publishers care

Museums, galleries, and artists increasingly spec premium finishes like foil stamping, soft-touch lamination, and spot UV on catalogues, press kits, and marketing materials. A concise pre-flight reference helps design teams avoid costly reprints, meet tight installation schedules, and maintain color fidelity across multiple editions.
