NEW YORK, NY.- Christie's will present Jewels Online, open for bidding from 24 March through 2 April. The sale features a curated selection of diamonds and vibrant colored gemstones, with exceptional designs by renowned jewelry houses such as Bulgari, Cartier, David Webb, Van Cleef & Arpels, and more. Spanning a variety of price points and with many lots offered without reserve, the sale includes something for every collector and will be on view at Christies Rockefeller Center galleries from March 27 to 31.
Leading the sale is a striking light brown-pink Colored Diamond Ring of 18.72 carats (estimate: $300,000500,000). The auction also features an array of richly saturated emeralds and sapphires, including a Raymond Yard Sapphire and Diamond Necklace featuring an oval mixed-cut sapphire of 8.85 carats (estimate: $50,00070,000) and an Emerald and Diamond Ring of 18.37 carats (estimate: $100,000150,000).
The sale features an extensive selection of 1960 to 1970 jewelry, predominantly from David Webb and Van Cleef & Arpels. This includes Important Jewels from a Distinguished Family Collection, a 51-lot assemblage that spans antique jewels to chic 1970s designs. Notable highlights include a David Webb Enamel, Emerald, and Diamond Lion Bangle Bracelet (estimate: $30,00050,000) and a Van Cleef & Arpels Chrysoprase and Diamond Necklace (estimate: $20,00030,000). Also included is a private collection of 15-lots , 8 of which are David Webb purchased by the family in 1967. Highlights include a David Webb Coral, Emerald and Diamond Bangle Bracelet (estimate: $20,000-30,000) and a David Webb Carved Multi-Gem Sautoir Necklace (estimate: $40,000-60,000).
Additionally, the auction features Property Sold with the intent to Benefit the PBS Foundation, a charitable 15-lot collection spanning antique to contemporary pieces. Highlights include a Colored Diamond and Diamond Bracelet (estimate: $60,00080,000) and a Tiffany & Co. Paulding Farnham Antique Multi-Colored Sapphire, Diamond, and Enamel Pendant Brooch (estimate: $20,00030,000).
