MADRID.- National and international institutions and companies share their support and recognition of artistic creation at ARCOmadrid through the sponsorship of art awards.
In this context, the Belgian gallery Meessen, featuring works by Ignasi Aball and Xie Lei, has won the Lexus Award for Best Booth and Artistic Content at ARCOmadrid 2025.
The 20th ARCO/BEEP Award for Electronic Art 2025 has been granted to the work ADSUM by Eduardo Kac, represented by the Henrique Faria gallery. With this edition of the award, a new chapter begins under the name NewArtAward@ARCO, in collaboration with the Arts Connection Foundation.
Meanwhile, Madrid-based artist Monica Mays represented by Pedro Cera and Blue Velvet galleries has won the 9th Cervezas Alhambra Award for Emerging Art for her work Conveyors.
The 18th illy SustainArt Award, dedicated to supporting young contemporary art talents, has been awarded to Catalan artist Claudia Pags, represented by ngels Barcelona gallery.
Additionally, the first edition of the Young Talent Award in Opening. New Galleries, was held, in collaboration with the Banco Sabadell Foundation, recognizing artists Jeanne Gaigher, represented by Reservoir gallery, and Omar Castillo Alfaro, from Sissi Club gallery. Meanwhile, the Colombian gallery Espacio Continuo has received the 11th Opening. New Galleries Award.
Artist Inmaculada Salinas, represented by Rafael Ortiz gallery, has been honored with the 2nd ENATE-ARCOmadrid 2025 Award.
Xie Lei, represented by the Belgian gallery Meessen, has won the 1st MACAM Acquisition Award for his work Double I.
The Pilar Forcada ART Situacions ARCOmadrid 2025 Award has been awarded to Mallorcan artist Lara Flux, presented at ARCO by the Catalan gallery Bombon Projects.
The 8th Catalina dAnglade Award has been granted to artist lvaro Urbano, from Travesa Cuatro gallery, for his work Veins. In addition to this acquisition, the award will support the artist in developing a new piece that merges art and design, making it more accessible to new audiences through a limited edition series.
Furthermore, the Fundaci niques Acquisition Award, focused on a work by a female artist from the Mediterranean region participating in the fair, has been granted to Lara Flux from Bombon Projects.
Catalan-Peruvian artist La Coderch, represented by ngels Barcelona gallery, has received the Fundaci Vila Casas Acquisition Award for her textile works Nunca sabes cules son las buenas noticias (You Never Know Which Are the Good News) and Exhausta y exuberante (Exhausted and Exuberant).
The Artepuntoes Award has been given to artist Juana Gonzlez, from Espacio Mnimo gallery, while Ana de Alvear, from Espacio Valverde, has received a special mention.
Finally, gallerist Ursula Krinzinger has been honored with the 1st Juana de Aizpuru Award for her longstanding role in ARCOs history and her commitment to the fair.
