LONDON, ENGLAND.- 20/21 The British Art Fair opens today at the Royal College of Art and will be open through September 17. The 20/21 BRITISH ART FAIR, now in its 19th year, covers British art from 1900 to the present day and is the market leader for Modern British art. The 20/21 BRITISH ART FAIR with its 60 leading art dealers offers an unrivalled bank of market knowledge from which to research the market.
In recent years, the Modern British and contemporary market has seen an enormous rise in values, steadily out performing the FT Equity Index, and this trend seems to be showing no signs of tailing off in the past 5 years 17.7% pa compared to 3.1% pa for 0ld Masters. Although some blue chip artists have reached heady heights, there are many whose prices have not risen and who may be due for re-alignment. Some art market analysts are suggesting the current auction prices are so hot that dealers can offer better value and this Fair is certainly the place to seek out such work.
The fair is sponsored by Stuart Alexander, a specialist art insurance broker, whose Private Clients Division provides appropriate cover for such valuable items at a lower cost.
