SAN JOSE, CA.- The San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) is proud to present the 26th Annual Fall Auction and Exhibition opening on October 6th at our new location: 560 South First Street. This year, more artists than ever have donated stellar works of art. The auction is always eagerly anticipated in the South Bay for its exceptional pieces by some of the most talented artists in the Bay Area. This year’s event will also provide a preview into what the ICA’s newly acquired building has to offer. This is the perfect opportunity for patrons to expand their collections as the ICA expands its facility.

This year’s contributions come from the Bay Area’s most significant established artists and hottest emerging artists and reflect the most current and up-and-coming trends of art-making in the Bay Area. The exhibition encompasses a remarkable range of styles, media, genres, and scale, in addition to personal passions, interests, and points of view. Media include sculpture, painting, photography, works on paper, and site-specific installations. The show will be on view until the auction on Saturday, October 28.

The doors open at 6:00 pm on auction night, and the live auction begins at 7:00 pm. To fuel the eager and passionate bidding, there will be wine, champagne and hors d’oeuvres donated by some of the region’s finest restaurants and vineyards.

Auction tickets are $35 for ICA members and $45 for non-members. A 20 percent discount applies on tickets purchased before October 28. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the ICA’s ongoing exhibitions and educational programming. Call 408.283.8155 for reservations.
