HONG KONG.- An exceptional lineup of luxury auctions will open Christie’s Spring season in Hong Kong, running from 24 May to 1 June. These highly anticipated live and online sales will present world-class, exquisite selections of wine, handbags, watches, and jewellery for discerning collectors and enthusiasts throughout the region and beyond. The magnificent sales this season will be Christie’s last at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, ahead of the auction house’s major relocation of its Asia Pacific headquarters in September to The Henderson building in Central, Hong Kong.

Through its extensive global network and market knowledge, Christie's has carefully curated these sales with collectors' preferences and passions in mind, while also providing diverse offerings for luxury enthusiasts at all stages. As Asia’s luxury auction market continues to demonstrate great resilience, evidenced by the tremendous demand from the region in Christie’s auctions globally, Christie’s Hong Kong Spring Auctions are an opportune time for luxury lovers worldwide to discover unique and outstanding pieces.

This spring marks a significant milestone and the beginning of an exciting new era for Christie's Luxury in Asia, as the auction house prepares to embark on a new chapter at The Henderson in Hong Kong. In this new world-class building designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, Christie’s will move from two main sale seasons per year to a dynamic new year-round calendar of sales and events.

We are thrilled to present The Epic Cellar which offers a refined selection of exquisite wines from the most sought-after Bordeaux and Burgundy Domaines. This cellar is a treasure trove of exceptional wines from the best vintages. Bordeaux is represented by all First Growths and right bank equivalents such as Cheval Blanc, Petrus and Le Pin, available in all formats up to 6L, mostly from 1980s to 2000s, such as the legendary Haut Brion 1989 in 5L and 6L, Lafite 1982 in magnum, and Petrus 1982 up to 5L.

Burgundy highlights include over 90 lots of Domaine de la Roman Romanée-Conti, featuring Romanée-Conti ranging from 1960s to 2013, with over 100 bottles available. There’s also a small selection of Henri Jayer, Echezeaux, Richebourg and Cros Parantoux from 1978 to 2000. This meticulously curated collection showcases the best of the best and is sure to delight even the most discerning palates.

An online-only sale titled Fine and Rare Wines Online will take place on 3 -14 June.

This remarkable spring collection, from renowned luxury brands including Hermès, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton, is a true showcase of sophistication and timeless elegance. It features exquisite pieces that highlight the finest craftsmanship and attention to detail. Among the exciting offerings are the distinctive Snow Faubourg Birkin, the luxurious Himalaya Niloticus Crocodile Kelly with diamond hardware, the fresh-to-market Alligator Birkin Sellier 20, and the limited-edition Sellier Midas Kelly 25. The remarkable reference 2523J headlines the spring Important Watches sale. This 18k gold two-crown world time model is one of the world’s greatest vintage Patek Philippe wristwatches, and the current model offered by Christie’s Hong Kong is one of the only three known to be made with a cloisonné enamel map dial depicting ‘Eurasia’. It is an event of major significance that a truly stellar Patek Philippe wristwatch like the current wristwatch returns to auction after long residing in a private collection for over 20 years. In addition to reference 2523J, the upcoming May spring sale presents two thematically curated, private single-owner collections: The Generations Collection impresses with spectacular world-class modern wristwatches by Patek Philippe and Rolex, many of which are ‘new old stock’ examples and are preserved in the best possible condition; and Timeless Opulence highlights magnificent neo-vintage wristwatches from the 1990s and early 2000s, presenting Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin and Daniel Roth, among others.
