GLEN COVE, NY.- Roland Auctions NY is presenting its next Multi-Estates Auction with a strong Fine Art presence on Saturday, March 9th, 2024 at 10am. As Roland has become very prominent in the Modern and Contemporary Art arena this past year, this sale will continue that theme, offering an eclectic selection of art from multiple estates, along with Decorative Arts, Antique & Vintage Furniture, Textiles, Silver, Gold and Jewelry, Asian Art and more. Previews for the March 9th auction will take place from 10am - 6pm Thursday, March 7th and Friday, March 8th.

While works by Pablo Piccaso, Georgy Bashinzhagyan and other artists like William Holbrook Beard will certainly be getting their share of attention, the main spotlight is likely to be on the series of four Ellsworth Kelly Plant Lithographs (1964-1965) Roland is offering.

These lithographs, from an edition of 75 (plus 10 proofs), coming from a very prominent Long Island estate, rarely come on the market. So having four from the same series all at one time is especially rare and a golden opportunity for collectors.

[Full sheet: 34 3/4" H x 24" W]. Estimate $12,000-$16,000.

These are followed by an Ellsworth Kelly (American, b. 1933) lithograph "Cyclamen III" (from "Suite of Plant Lithographs") (Axsom 38), 1964-65, signed in pencil, numbered 33/75, from an edition of 75 plus 10 APs, published by Maeght Editeur, Paris, on Rives BKF paper; hinged to backing board, glazed and framed.
