ALAMEDA, CA.- Michaans Auctions January Gallery Auction on Friday, January 19th, features numerous cars in excellent condition in addition to fine examples from the Fine Art and Asian Art departments. The auction is led by a 2023 Tesla Model X in Plaid Trim with only 3,901 miles, a 1965 Ford Mustang Hardtop Coupe, as well as a 1955 Ford Thunderbird. Also included is a Large Gilt Bronze Figure of an Immortal, a notable oil painting by Joseph Henry Sharp, and a 14k yellow gold charm bracelet.
The auction is led by a 2023 Tesla Model X Plaid ($100/120,000) featuring Teslas Plaid premium trim, and full self-driving capability, all with only 3,901 miles. Also on offer, is a 1966 Ford Mustang Hardtop Coupe ($6/800), a classic edition of Americas most iconic automobile, this lot is a restorers special. Also available are a 1991 Ford F-150 ($8/10,000), and a 2016 Ford F-350 with an attached camper ($22/24,000). Finally, a 1955 Ford Thunderbird ($10/12,000) will be offered, the first model year of what would come to be known as a classic luxury car.
The Jewelry department is happy to feature several excellent examples, headlined by a 14k Yellow Gold Charm Bracelet ($2/3,000) featuring Eiffel Tower, nautical, and gavel motifs, amongst others. The department is also offering a In the Style of David Webb Diamond, Enamel, 18k Yellow Gold Panther Brooch. ($2,5/3,500) and a Ring ($2/3,000) that includes numerous precious stones.
Our Furniture and Decorative department is highlighting a Napoleon III Gilt Brass and Pietra Dura Tantalus ($3/4,500), featuring a beautiful metallic interior and clever hinge mechanisms. Also, on offer this December is Eleven Dresden Porcelain Cabinet Plates by R. Wehsener ($4/7,000), a fine example of porcelain work from the German family company, and an Espenet Dining Table ($12/18,000). Finally, a Collection of Pipes in Shadowbox ($5/8,000) will be sold, an elegant set of mostly European smoking accessories.
The Fine Art department is excited to announce the sale of Joseph Henry Sharp, Landscape, circa 1900s, likely Taos, New Mexico, USA ($20/40,000), an important work from the famed painter of American Southwest scenes. Bui Huu Hung, Family Tradition, Portrait ($3/4,000) is a beautiful example from the famed lacquer artist and will be offered alongside other excellent works such as Harrison (Haskay Yahne Yah) Begay Navajo Feather Dancer, ($4/600), and Peter Voulkos, Abstract Composition ($5/8,000). Finally, the department will be offering Sol LeWitt, Curvy Brushstrokes ($7/9,000), and Portrait of a Young Girl, attributed to George Knapton ($15/25,000), each of which represents important works from notable artists.
The Asian Art department will be offering a Pair of Carved Spinach Jade Plaque Insert Table Screens ($3/5,000), as well as a Large Gilt Bronze Figure of an Immortal ($2/3,000).
