NEW YORK, NY.- Rachel Lehmann and David Maupin are pleased to announce the appointment of Fionna Flaherty as Partner, based in New York. The appointment comes as recognition of Flaherty’s dedicated work at Lehmann Maupin over the past twelve years.

Joining current gallery partners Carla Camacho, Jessica Kreps, and Isabella Icoz, Flaherty will focus on supporting the gallery's programmatic and sales initiatives, including the oversight of all art fairs internationally. In close collaboration with the gallery's executive leadership team, Flaherty will also focus on nurturing both new and established artist and collector relationships, working in tandem with the gallery’s sales team to achieve artist and business development objectives. Furthermore, she will continue to liaise with institutions to oversee exhibition planning, organization, and production, and she will provide consultation on artist legacy and estate management.

“Fionna has been an instrumental part of Lehmann Maupin’s global growth over the past twelve years,” shares David Maupin. “Her strategic approach, paired with an impeccable work ethic and strong organizational skills, has positioned her as a leader within our gallery. Thanks to her visionary approach and rigorous focus, we've expanded our art fair participation across three continents, providing artists with more global platforms to exhibit their work, and we’ve grown both our roster of artists and our collector base. As we look to the future together, I am excited to see how Fionna will continue to shape and lead our program.”

Over the last twelve years, Flaherty has played a pivotal role on the gallery's leadership team, serving most recently as a Senior Director for three years. In this capacity, she oversaw the Artist Liaison and Art Fair departments. She has managed some of the gallery’s most renowned artists, including Kader Attia, Dominic Chambers, Lee Bul, Liza Lou, Liu Wei, Catherine Opie, Alex Prager, Robin Rhode, and Tony Oursler, among others, and she worked on numerous large scale museum exhibitions and acquisitions. Prior to Lehmann Maupin, Flaherty gained experience at Spanierman Gallery and Mixed Greens (both in New York), and the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in Hartford, Connecticut.

Flaherty affirms, “I feel lucky to have learned and grown alongside our incredible leadership team and the artists we represent. As we enter this new chapter, I am thrilled to be able to steer the gallery towards new heights, furthering David [Maupin] and Rachel [Lehmann]’s vision to represent the voices that will change the course of art history.”
