Mennour Institute announces program for young graduates
“We have a long history with the Beaux‑Arts de Paris. Several of the artists we represent have studied, taught or are still teaching there, including Hicham Berrada, Petrit Halilaj, Tadashi Kawamata and Ann Veronica Janssens.”

PARIS.- Mennour Institute is committed to supporting young artists in the early stages of their career.

Each year, following an open call to young graduates, six artists will be selected to participate in an advisory program and in a group exhibition under the emblematic glass roof of Mennour gallery (6 rue du Pont de Lodi, Paris).

The gallery will accompany them through every stage of the exhibition process (curation, production, logistics and communication).

Entitled “Mennour Emergence”, the program will include an overall allocation of €15,000 per year for the production of works of the six exhibiting artists.

For its first edition, Mennour Institute collaborates with Beaux- Arts de Paris, and opens its call for applications exclusively to the school’s graduates of 2023 (DNSAP).

The applications will be examined by a panel of professionals recognized for their commitment to emerging creation.

This year’s committee will include:

Anna Labouze and Keimis Henni, founders of Artagon, Rebecca Lamarche-Vadel, director of Lafayette Anticipations, a representative of Beaux-Arts de Paris: Armelle Pradalier, head of mediation and cultural events, as well as three members of Mennour’s executive committee: Christian Alandete, Scientific Director,Jessy Mansuy, General Director, Sylvie Patry, Artistic Director.

The committee will be chaired by Kamel Mennour, founder of the gallery and Mennour Institute, for whom this collaboration with Beaux-Arts de Paris is an obvious choice on several counts:

“We have a long history with Beaux-Arts de Paris. Several of the artists we represent have studied, taught or are still teaching there, including Hicham Berrada, Petrit Halilaj, Tadashi Kawamata and Ann Veronica Janssens. Others have presenting outsanding projects there such as Huang Yong Ping’s Arche in 2009, Alfredo Jaar’s The Sound of Silence in 2006 and Ugo Rondinone’s we are poems. Personally, I’m very attached to the neighborhood of Saint- Germain-des-Prés. It is for its historic artistic importance that I first decided to set up my gallery there.”

Alexia Fabre, Director of Beaux-Arts de Paris: “I am thrilled to extend this invitation to our young graduates from Beaux-Arts de Paris. In the heart of Saint- Germain-des-Prés, this exhibition will help share and bring to prominence the strength and diversity of our emerging artistic scene.”

The exhibition of the six beneficiaries of the “Mennour Emergence” program will take place in March 2024, at the gallery 6 rue du Pont de Lodi, Paris, over one month.z`z`
