NEW YORK, NY.- The Winter Shows 2024 edition brings together over 65 internationally renowned dealers in the fine and decorative arts, presenting museum-quality works from around the world, spanning 5,000 years from antiquity to today. Celebrating 70 years as the premier and longest-running art, antiques, and design fair in the United States, the Show will once again transform the historic Park Avenue Armory in New York City into an unmissable destination for collectors, connoisseurs, and enthusiasts. The 2024 edition will take place January 1928. Special benefit events include the Opening Night Party on January 18 and Young Collectors Night on January 25. All proceeds from the Shows benefit events and ticket sales fund the life-changing programs of East Side House Settlement.
The Winter Show is the only showcase of its kind, having been established in 1954 by its own beneficiary, East Side House Settlement, a community-based organization serving the Bronx and Northern Manhattan. For 70 years, The Winter Show has bolstered East Side Houses mission to care for the individuals, families, and communities it serves by expanding opportunities through educational, job, and supportive services.
In the 70 years that The Winter Show has shown in New York, it has consistently addressed the shifting role and value of art, antiques, and design within our communities, said Helen Allen, Executive Director of The Winter Show. We are thrilled to celebrate this momentous anniversary with returning presenters and patrons, while also welcoming new audiences to the Show and to the mission of East Side House. We are part of an exciting revival honoring objects that prioritize craftmanship and style. More importantly, each presentation honors a story of the past and its continued legacy in the present moment. The Winter Show offers a platform for a generation with renewed interest in design lead by storytelling, craftsmanship, and sustainability, and invites visitors to participate in an experience that also supports New Yorkers in need.
Daniel Diaz, Executive Director of East Side House Settlement, said, The Winter Show has long been a part of the East Side House tradition, and it is vital to raising the funds necessary to continue to serve those New Yorkers most in need. Were delighted to again be joined by such reputable exhibitors, and we are excited to come together with all our supporters to celebrate 70 years of lifesaving work that The Winter Show has helped to make possible.
