BRUSSELS.- Benoit Adam, Brussels (1979) communicates, among other things, through a unique practice of painting and drawing. Images, more precisely portraits, emerge from his thoughts in nervous and colorful compositions sometimes on the verge of erasure by the superposition of layers and washes.
Nothing is left to chance, everything is played out between balance and chaos. His complex compositions are nourished by his observation of art history and an energy that he attempts to circumscribe. The organization of his space seems spontaneous, but in reality it is the result of the sum of his experiences.
Benoit is also the author of powerful texts where the writing also pretends to be automatic. Between gravity and satire, a trace left to be seen by those who can immerse themselves in it.
The title of the exhibition 'Tout doit disparaître' evokes the gradual disappearance of the thick lines which delineated his human figures and the ebb of the faces in the composition. He also refers to the place where he exhibits, Singulier, a gallery which has been bringing contemporary art and tattooing together for several years with real success. For the occasion, it will be possible to get a tattoo of a work by the artist.
The exhibition is a collaboration between Singulier Art & Tattoo and La Galerie Emilie Dujat, known for thinking outside the box. Artistic direction is provided by J-M DP.

A free and atypical course. Born into a family of artists, with a Degree in Art History and an experience at the Tajan Paris sales house, and a lawyer in Paris and New York, Émilie Dujat studied at HB Studio NYC and adapted plays.
In 2006, she discovered a new world: the fascinating erotic art.
Inspired by the freedom of thought of the Enlightenment, she opened, in the Sablon district of Brussels, the first erotic art gallery, La Galerie Libertine : a cabinet of erotic curiosities. She contributed to the opening of the Museum of Eroticism and Mythology in Brussels.
