WATER MILL, NY.- The Parrish Art Museum announced that Joey Wölffer and Steven J. Horowitz will join its Board of Directors. With close ties to the region, Wölffer brings to the arts institution unparalleled knowledge of the Hamptons and the local community. Horowitz possesses an understanding of the positive and transformative impact of the arts on individuals and communities, and is committed to making the arts accessible to all.

“We are thrilled to welcome Joey and Steven to the Parrish Board of Directors,” said Monica Ramirez-Montagut, Director of the Parrish Art Museum. “Joey is deeply rooted in the local community and region and we know this invaluable knowledge of and commitment to the Hamptons will benefit the Parrish immensely. Steven’s commitment to accessibility is very powerful, and I am delighted that he is interested in helping to further our impact through our education initiatives.”

Wölffer is a New York Native, entrepreneur and the Chief Brand Officer and Co-Owner of Wölffer Estate Vineyard, based in the Hamptons. With a mission to carry on the innovative legacy of her father, she and her brother took over the winery in early 2013. In addition to the vineyard, they also took over The Tasting Room, Wine Stand and Wölffer Estate Stables, which are all located on the 170-acre estate in the heart of the Hamptons. As a champion equestrian, she oversees the world-class stable facility. Wölffer and her brother also co-own Christian’s by Wölffer Estate, a light-filled neighborhood restaurant located in Amagansett Square where guests can enjoy a delicious selection of family-friendly, locally sourced seasonal fare ideally paired with a comprehensive selection of Wölffer’s award-winning wines.

"I am excited to be a member of the Board at the Parrish Art Museum,” said Wölffer. “I believe we are one of the luckiest communities to be surrounded by incredible art institutions like the Parrish. The Parrish plays a crucial role in preserving and promoting culture, creativity, and community engagement. As a board member, I look forward to contributing my insights, ideas, and support to help the museum continue its important work."

A graduate of Vanderbilt University, Wölffer began her career as a jewelry designer for Meems LTC, providing accessories for several High Street stores in the UK and later became a jewelry designer for Nine West as well as Trend Director for all of The Jones Group.

She is a mother of two with her husband, Max Rohn.

Horowitz, also a New York native, is an attorney and the principal of the Law Firm of David Horowitz, P.C., a boutique litigation Firm based in Manhattan founded by his father. He has more than 20 years of litigation experience garnered across a wide variety of matters. Over the last decade, Steven has served as the Firm’s Managing Attorney. He also oversees a Real Estate portfolio comprised of residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties in New York City.

“It is an absolute privilege to join the Board of Directors of the Parrish Art Museum,” said Horowitz. “The Parrish has an unparalleled history of supporting the vibrant art community drawn to the idyllic East End and those artists who continue to astound the world with their originality, convictions, and courage. I am excited to help the Museum continue to fully realize its mission of sharing art with the diverse local community, because art can contribute meaningful perspectives that can bridge differences like nothing else.”

Horowitz received his B.A. from Tufts University, his J.D. from Yeshiva University, and is a member of the Bar of the States of New York and New Jersey.

He is a member of the Board of Advisors of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University, Medford, MA. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Birch Wathen Lenox School, New York, NY. He is a former Vice-President of the Board of Trustees of the Sutton Place Synagogue, New York, NY.

Horowitz lives in Manhattan with his wife, Amy, and their three children. They enjoy spending time in Westhampton.
