VANCOUVER, BC.- The Vancouver Art Gallery has received a generous gift of $1 million from TD Bank Group, a longstanding supporter of the arts and culture community. This significant contribution demonstrates the bank's continued commitment to fostering the growth and development of artistic endeavors in the city.

Through the TD Ready Commitment, the bank's corporate citizenship platform, TD pledged this meaningful support for the new Vancouver Art Gallery, solidifying its dedication to the new building project. This ongoing financial support will be instrumental in driving the success of this transformative endeavour.

For over three decades, TD has been a steadfast patron of the Vancouver Art Gallery, with their initial contribution dating back to 1979. The bank's unwavering support underscores its belief in the Gallery's mission and the value it brings to the community.

"We are tremendously grateful to TD for its extraordinary commitment to the Vancouver Art Gallery," said Anthony Kiendl, CEO and Director of the Vancouver Art Gallery. "Our long-standing relationship has been transformative, enabling us to advance our mission of fostering artistic excellence and engaging the public through exhibitions, educational programs and community initiatives. As a charitable society, the Gallery relies on private and corporate donations to serve our visitors. Thanks to TD, we're closer to realizing our vision of a world-class gallery space that will inspire and enrich the lives of countless individuals."

"We're so proud to support the Vancouver Art Gallery as it embarks on this exciting transformation project, creating a new world-class space for our community to experience this iconic cultural institution for many years to come," said Julie Armour, Senior Vice President and Pacific Region Head, TD Bank Group. "Through the TD Ready Commitment, we're focused on helping arts and culture organizations across North America that bring people together and amplify diverse voices."

This gift from TD will play a crucial role in advancing the success of the Vancouver Art Gallery's new building project, enabling the organization to continue its mission of presenting world-class art and providing meaningful experiences for all visitors.
