NEW YORK, NY.- La Belle Epoque Vintage Posters, which also houses the newly re-opened La Belle Epoque Auction House, will host a lecture in collaboration with ArtfulBuzz.com, La Belle Epoque Era of Advertising on Sunday, June 4thfrom 2-4pm at 71 8th Avenue in Manhattan, with featured speaker Linda Tarasuk, co-owner, La Belle Epoque Auction House and La Belle Epoque Vintage Posters.
As many are aware, longtime co-owners Linda Tarasuk and Elie Saporta are considered to be among the top professionals globally in the area of La Belle Epoque era advertising posters.Their expertise has allowed them to maintain their highly-regarded all original vintage poster business, which has flourished since opening in the mid-1980s in New York City.
As the newly-opened La Belle Epoque Auction House expands to seasonal and monthly auctions as this year progresses, following their highly-successful March 18th Grand Reopening Multi-Estates Auction, they are also now utilizing their beautiful 7,000 square foot space at 71 8th Avenue on the border of the Meatpacking District and the West Village in Manhattan, for community-oriented and art world activities as well as preparing for their Summer Auction date TBD.
In early May, La Belle Epoque will host The Appraisers Association of America networking event for members of the Association. On June 4th, La Belle Epoque will collaborate with art world professional Debbie Wells of ArtfulBuzz.com for a gallery tour and lecture La Belle Epoque Era of Advertising. Wells brings the art world directly to art-lovers of all levels with her warm, engaging and enthusiastic style. For over a decade, she has lectured on the current museum and art gallery scene, art history, artist biographies, and innovative &original topics on art, fashion and culture.

In addition, La Belle Epoque Auction House will now offer pre-sale evaluations, where potential consignors and collectors can schedule an appointment to inquire about their own art, antiques, collectibles, furniture and decorative items for potential consignment, affording the focused attention one would expect in a neighborhood auction house. All these new plans follow the La Belle EpoqueAuction House, which remains a separate entity from La Belle Epoque Vintage Posters, while housed at the same location, successful March 18th, 2023 auction. This multi-estates auction featured an impressive collection of fine art, antiques, silver, mid-century modern furniture, jewelry, fashion, lighting, memorabilia, collectibles, decorative items and more.
Some Contemporary Art highlights from March 18th included an Attributed to Joan Miro (Spanish-Catalan, 1893-1983) Drawing of a Woman, Signed and dated Miro 1917 lower right. selling for $2,048, a Bronze Clad Sculpture of Female Torso, Mid-century modern patinated aged "bronze clad" sculpture of a nude woman Mid-to-late 20th century Signed bottom right of base, selling for $1408, a Tiffany Style Floor Lamp with Leaded Glass Shade, wisteria design, sold for $1,920 and a rare Late 17th Century Italian Walnut Prie Dieu, The Prie Dieu retains both marquetry and parquetry inlay throughout. Inside panel with inlay of a crucifixion raised on blocked feet, which went for just $832.
Also, a Salvador Dali Limited Edition Print lithograph "Les songs drolatiques de Pantagruel" Pantragruels Funny Dreams circa 1973, signed lower right, numbered 206/250, sold for $768 and a Mid Century Modern Tuxedo Buttoned Reclining Charles Eames style lounge chair and ottoman For Herman Miller c. 1960s, sold for $832.La Belle Epoque Auction House also offered a large selection of collectibles, including model trains like the American Flyer Wide Gauge Lot of 8 train cars,which sold for $1280 and the American Flyer "President's Special" lot of 4 train cars, selling for $640.
