EDINBURGH.- Bonhams, the international auction house, announces its Scottish headquarters in Edinburgh will move to a new saleroom in Melville Crescent from its existing site at Queen Street. The building will house all the specialist departments and the Valuations team. May Matthews, Managing Director, Bonhams Scotland, is responsible for the overall management and development of Bonhams Scotland. She retains her position as Head of Scottish Pictures. Charles Graham-Campbell has been appointed Director of Private Clients, Scotland.

Over the coming months, May will oversee Bonhams’ move from its current premises, where the lease has expired, to the new saleroom at nearby Melville Crescent in the New Town. The five-storey double-fronted 19th-century townhouse has dedicated spaces for a large saleroom, drop-in valuations, and exhibition space. May is also introducing an exciting expansion of Bonhams Scotland sales programme for 2023.

To support this expansion, Bonhams has recruited new members of staff to support May and the team, including a new Picture specialist and a new General Valuer, as well as an enhanced Client Services department.
