Dundee Contemporary Arts announces new Head of Exhibitions
Tiffany is a contemporary art curator and educator.

DUNDEE.- Tiffany Boyle has been appointed as the new Head of Exhibitions at Dundee Contemporary Arts. Tiffany is currently Curator & Exhibitions Manager at Edinburgh Printmakers, Scotland, and will take up her new position at Dundee Contemporary Arts in March 2023.

Tiffany is a contemporary art curator and educator. Prior to undertaking her current role at Edinburgh Printmakers she worked as an independent curator in Scotland for 10 years. She is one half of the curatorial duo Mother Tongue, whose practice is concerned with archival and collection-based research. The work of Mother Tongue includes producing exhibitions, film programmes, discursive events, and texts for major organisations across Scotland including Glasgow International, the National Galleries of Scotland, the V&A Dundee and CCA Glasgow.

Tiffany completed her undergraduate studies in Dundee, before gaining masters degrees in Edinburgh and Stockholm, and her PhD in Art History from Birkbeck, University of London. From 2016-2021 she was a lecturer in the Department of Design History & Theory at The Glasgow School of Art, and from March 2019-2020 was a Hauser & Wirth Institute NY Postdoctoral Fellow. Tiffany is part of the organisational cohort behind the Tilting Axis Scottish Fellowship, a one-year research opportunity for a Caribbean-based practitioner designed in collaboration with the CCA Glasgow, David Dale Gallery and Hospitalfield. In 2018, Tiffany was one of the first independent curators to be awarded an Art Fund New Collecting Award.

Beth Bate, Director of Dundee Contemporary Arts, said: ‘We're delighted to be welcoming Tiffany to the DCA team: she brings with her a wealth of experience and a distinctive curatorial vision, and I'm looking forward to working with her on developing our forthcoming exhibitions programme.'

Tiffany Boyle said: ‘I'm thrilled to be joining the team at DCA, whose ambitious exhibition programme I feel a real synergy with, and which I'm excited to continue and build upon. I value the opportunity to work within an organisation that is both a place of making and exhibiting, surrounded by the active arts community in Dundee.'
