Cannabis In Michigan: Things You Need To Know

Cannabis has been used as a creative stimulant and inspiration aid for centuries, both by artists and writers alike. In recent years, its use in the creative process has seen a resurgence in popularity due to the growing legalization of cannabis around the world. By now, it’s well-known that cannabis can help to boost creativity, focus and productivity in many areas, including art.

The primary way cannabis can benefit an artist is by allowing them to access their innermost thoughts and feelings more easily. This often leads to greater clarity of thought and will enable artists to express themselves more freely without worrying about any constraints they may have felt before using cannabis. Cannabis also helps with relaxation, which in turn can lead to improved creativity since it’s easier for our minds to come up with new ideas when we are relaxed and at ease. Also, smoking or ingesting cannabis can help reduce stress levels, and a relaxed artist is the best artist.

But why is Michigan special? Well, the government of that midwestern state legalized marijuana use back in November 2018. This made the artists there rather happy. Today, we will show you what you need to know when it comes to cannabis in Michigan.

Who Can Use Marijuana In Michigan?

The law in this state says that only adults who are 21 or older can get and use marijuana legally. They can buy the product at many dispensaries in Michigan which offer a range of products. People can even get their marijuana online, but it is recommended that you get it in person at dispensaries. It is much simpler when it comes to the legal aspect, and it is better to see the product in person before you get it. Also, you can only possess up to 2.5 ounces of marijuana.

Can People Grow Their Plants At Home?

Sure. Many people are surprised by the fact that adults in Michigan can grow their own cannabis plants. Of course, there are many rules people need to follow to do this legally. For example, a person can only grow as many as 12 plants at home.
Cannabis For Medical Use

In the state of Michigan, the most commonly cited condition is severe and chronic pain caused by various diseases. Other less common reasons in 2018 for acquiring medical cannabis were cancer-related pain (4.9%) and post-traumatic stress disorder (4.1%).

These are some of the things you need to know regarding marijuana in Michigan.
