LONDON, ENGLAND.-Representing the largest contemporary art event in London and the UK, Frieze Art Fair 2005 boasts a city-wide programme of commissions and events (21-24 October) that aim to build on the massive success of Frieze Art Fair 2004 and cement its position among the world’s leading art fairs. Frieze Art Fair 2005 will again be sponsored by Deutsche Bank, who have today also announced a three year deal as the main sponsor of the fair, reflecting Deutsche Bank’s unparalleled commitment to contemporary art. Featuring 150 leading contemporary art galleries handpicked by the selection committee from a list of over 450 applicants, Frieze Art Fair 2005 will be a great place to discover the most exciting and exhilarating new work from around the world.

Over 2000 artists will be represented at the fair. Many of the world’s most famous and established galleries will be showing alongside the world’s most interesting emerging galleries from across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Eastern Europe. New additions to this year’s fair include Iris Kadel, Karlsruhe; Herald Street, London and Jan Mot, Brussels.

Situated again in London’s Regent’s Park in a structure designed by award-winning architect David Adjaye, Frieze Art Fair 2005 expects to welcome over 25,000 visitors including the biggest players in the art world. Frieze Art Fair 2005 also boasts the largest programme of supporting events to date, with Frieze Projects, a series of specifically commissioned works; Frieze Talks, a programme of both informative and controversial talks involving leading figures from the art world; as well as an unrivalled VIP Programme and the return of the widely acclaimed music programme, Frieze Music.
