Instagram has a substantial population of users who publish content regularly, but many lurk without posting or stalking other users on the network. If you're an ardent Instagram user with a public profile, you've probably pondered the question, "Can I see who visits my Instagram profile?" more often than you would like to admit.
Are you obscure about who views your Instagram profile?
There is no straightforward method to determine who
views your Instagram profile. A very excellent reason Instagram does not offer a built-in function to see who has visited their profile is user privacy. Instagram, owned by Facebook, has all the information you need to see who visited your profile; however, it will not share it with you as this may significantly decrease user engagement.
Is there a reason for this? Because many Instagram users spend their time simply viewing other accounts without uploading anything to them, it is likely that they will stop using Instagram if their behavior is revealed, which would be disastrous for the company.
Use third-party apps
What third-party applications can I use to determine who has visited my Instagram profile? Several applications on the App Store and Play Store claim that you may be able to monitor who checks your Instagram account and identify your Instagram stalkers by granting them access. However, are these applications practical?
Let's review some third-party apps
SocialView: This is an Instagram iPhone application that claims to reveal which Instagram users have viewed your profile; it does not work as described in the reviews on the app's website.
Profile+: This app is a second application that claims to reveal who visits your Instagram profile. Similarly, this application does not function either. It attempts to charge you for useless features such as "who saw my Instagram profile." It displays primarily a list of individuals you have banned, which can be viewed in Instagram's official app.
Follower Analyzer: This application falsely claims to reveal who visits your Instagram profile. In this application, random Instagram usernames are displayed to give the impression that the user is doing something by showing a list that changes each time the app is used. Furthermore, the application poses a significant privacy concern since it captures all your account information as soon as you sign into your Instagram account and provide them with access to the information, thus compromising your privacy. If you use this application to track
your Instagram followers, you risk having your account blocked, so it is best not to rely on it.
Why do these applications not work?
It is simple to understand why these applications do not work. Instagram's data policies specify that it only shares Instagram usernames, bios, profile pictures, and email addresses with unvetted third parties. In addition, Instagram's Graph API is more restricted than Instagram's former API platform, which means applications that Instagram has not authorized to use will not be able to access it. Since third-party applications are no longer available, how can you determine who has visited your Instagram profile?
Use stories/highlights option
A function in Instagram allows users to see who has watched their Stories and Highlights, even though Instagram does not provide users with a way of monitoring who visits their accounts. To reveal your Instagram stalkers, select the profile picture icon in the most recent Instagram Stories to utilize this function. You can view a list of all people who have considered your story, even those who do not follow you.
Using this feature, you can also ban users who do not wish to share your stories by clicking the 'Hide Story' option to the right of the user's name, allowing you to block any Instagram stalkers effortlessly. Instagram Stories disappear after 24 hours, so you should review the list daily if you upload a lot. You can see the same list of visitors in your highlights if you wish to gain a long-term perspective of who has visited your Instagram profile.
Switch to the business account
It is possible to see who has visited your Instagram page using an Instagram business account. Having a business account, you can gain valuable insights into your Instagram profile. There is a fee associated with having an Instagram business account. With a business account, you will access helpful information about the individuals, including their location, age range, gender, and online time.
It is, however, impossible to obtain the identities of every individual who viewed your profile via the insights. If you want access to such data, you can convert your personal Instagram account to a corporate one. To do so, visit Instagram Settings and select the 'Switch to Business Profile' option, then link your Instagram account with Facebook Page that you manage.
The Instagram business account requires at least one contact information, so Instagram will ask you which information from your Facebook page you wish to import. Your new Instagram business account has now been activated. It is important to note that Instagram Insights does not retrieve past data and only begins collecting data once the Instagram business account has been created.
