American Impressionism Talk Highlights Newest Exhibit |

CHATTANOOGA, TN.-High Museum of Art curator Sylvia Yount will speak on American Impressionism on Thursday, October 6, at the Hunter Museum of American Art. Dr. Yount's talk is entitled "American Impressionisms: The Regional Context." Refreshments will be served starting at 6 p.m. and the talk will begin at 6:30 p.m. This event is complimentary with paid admission. Museum members are admitted at no charge.
The talk is being given in celebration of the Hunter Museum's newest exhibit, American Impressions: An Arcadian Vision, Paintings from the Akron Art Museum. The American Impressions exhibition will be on display from October 7 until December 4.
Sylvia Yount has been the Margaret and Terry Stent Curator of American Art at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta since 2001. Dr. Yount has also lectured and published widely on late 19th and 20th century American art and culture.
