HOW TO TRAVEL WITH A FULL-TIME JOB

Are you working full time and want a nice vacation? You might think it is impossible but in reality it is possible. All you need is proper planning and execution. Moreover, you will find it enjoyable, profitable and very relaxing. Normally people have this thing in mind that to become a traveler you have to leave your job. We all have seen movies that show the same thing. It has made us believe that people working full time cannot travel and enjoy this part of life. But in reality it is totally opposite. It can be very inviting to leave the job and start traveling and exploring the world.

But it would be foolish as you can do both. One of the possible options is remote work. It will give you sufficient time to work even when traveling. Yet some jobs need a full work atmosphere. You cannot use your phone while traveling for certain jobs. There are plenty of options. You just have to believe and maintain a can-do-attitude. Here you will find some tips on how you can travel with a full-time job.

Plan your trips on weekends
Everyone gets Sundays or weekends off. So, why not utilize that time to plan some holidays. Take 2 more days off and you get 4 days in a row. 4 days are quite sufficient to travel to a place and visit all the places there. Take flights to save time but if your budget is tight then go for car rentals. You will surely enjoy the experience.

Become more flexible
You can be rigid with your daily schedule if you want to take some time to travel. Try to become more flexible with your work routine. It totally depends on your profession. If you have a busy winter season then try going whenever you can make time. Now to make time you have to become flexible and manage your workload.

Find your off season to travel
Being an accountant your GST and seasons where tax needs to file will always be busy. You can never afford to make time from it. So, use the off season when the workload is less. It will give you the freshness and motivation to work better during the busy season. Sometimes you need to rejuvenate and strengthen your body and mind to be productive.

Try overtime work
Do you get an overtime salary? If yes, then try working overtime to complete your work and collect more time to travel. If you do not get an overtime salary and you have set a goal to visit a place then also do overtime. Working overtime will give you more free time. You can always use that cumulative time to go wherever you want.

Opt for work that requires traveling
If you work at a place that gives you opportunities to go out for some job then consider yourself lucky. You can grab those opportunities to work and travel at the same time. You can visit so many places at the expense of your company. It will be pocket friendly and profitable for you. After completing your job for the day you can spend the rest of time traveling and visiting places.

Take unpaid leaves
Every company offers paid and unpaid leaves. If you are not getting any time for holidays and traveling then go for unpaid leaves. There is a fixed number of unpaid leaves that you can take. So, use them. There is no harm in doing so. Now if you are thinking about the money lost then consider this situation. You have saved up 3 days by working hard for holidays. Now you can take 1-2 days unpaid leave and plan a tour of 5 days. Isn’t it wonderful?

Take permission for work from home from your employer
If your employer allows you to work from home then use it. He needs to get the work done by you. It does not matter if you do it in the office, at home or while traveling. Therefore, you can use this opportunity as well to enjoy traveling and visiting different places. Take your laptop and your wifi connection with you. And you are all set to go.

Conclusion
Summing up everything it is pretty clear that traveling in a full time employment is totally possible. Having a positive, problem solving attitude will help you solve this issue. Try working hard to get more time that can be used for traveling. Obviously, it is not simple but it will be fun setting a goal and achieving it. This world is beautiful and has some great things to see before you die. So, why not start right now?
