SuperRare debuts exhibition featuring works in top performing spaces
JSKY, Vicious Circle, 2022.

NEW YORK, NY.- SuperRare, the largest decentralized platform dedicated to original cryptoart, today announced a new exhibition Spaces: a Decentralized Future featuring the five top performing Spaces from the past month. Spaces are independent galleries on SuperRare that curate, promote, and sell artworks. Each Space is voted into the network by SuperRare’s community of $RARE token holders. Spaces: a Decentralized Future will feature 15 NFT artworks, on view August 22-25, 2022.

“SuperRare Spaces empowers our community of artists and collectors who are the core of the SuperRare ecosystem,” states John Crain, Co-founder and CEO of SuperRare Labs, the company behind SuperRare. “This exhibition is intended to not only highlight the Spaces that have performed the best, but also shed light on the incredible artists who have contributed to the overall success of the SuperRare brand.”

The top performing Spaces for 2022 include MONOGRAMA - GUARDIAN COLLECTION, The Joys of NFTs, MONOLITH Gallery, 33 Gallery, and Fellowship Gallery, with artwork by Cullen Colors, GISELX, JSKY (MONOGRAMA), Untitled Army (The Joys of NFTs), Grace Almera, Caitlin Cronenberg, Daria (MONOLITH), Horacio Siciliano, Cath Simard, Paolo Pettigiani (33 Gallery), Guy Bourdin, László Moholy-Nagy, and Pieter Hugo (Fellowship).

In February 2022, SuperRare brought on board the first Spaces galleries, which included The Museum of Crypto Art, 33NFT, The Foundry (MoCDA), Monograma, and Metafisica. The new initiative launched SuperRare into its next phase, which focused on scaling SuperRare and giving the artists and collectors more control by allowing galleries, artists, and artist collectives to independently develop, curate, promote and run exhibitions, sales, or auctions. Each SuperRare Space can deploy its own custom NFT minting contracts and independently collect commissions, on top of a primary sale commission routed back to the community treasury.

Founded in 2018, SuperRare is the largest NFT platform dedicated to original cryptoart, with more than $260M in total sales and more than $150M earned by artists to date. The innovator of perpetual artist royalties, SuperRare is a user-controlled marketplace governed by holders of the $RARE token, with a mission to revolutionize the economics of human creativity by building a new art market that anyone can access.

SuperRare is built and maintained by a passionate community of artists, collectors and curators who believe that in order to truly flourish in the 21st century, a radically larger, more transparent and accessible art market that is free from the influence of centralized corporations, is both possible and necessary for the future of digital culture. SuperRare is a network of, by and for creatives: focused on shepherding the digital renaissance as an emerging global art movement, which will radically alter our relationships to and participation with digital art.
