Christies Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art live auctions achieved a total of HK$245,570,700/ US$31,432,235, with 60% of lots sold above their pre-sale high estimates.
Top lot of the sales was lot 2863 A MAGNIFICENT AND EXTREMELY RARE LARGE DOUCAI VASE, QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795), from the Collection of The Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute, which sold for HK$34,050,000/ US$4,357,961, with sale proceeds to benefit The Helen Munson Williams Acquisition Fund.
