NEW YORK, NY.- Christies, in partnership with Sports Authority Authentication Services (SAAS), presents Six Rings Legacy of the GOAT, an online-only sale dedicated to the legacy of Michael Jordan, open from 1-14 June. All six lots will be exhibited at Christies Rockefeller Center galleries from 3-8 June.
The auction presents six rare objects that tie to memorable and significant moments throughout six-time NBA champion Michael Jordans career. With every victory, be it a single shot, game, or championship win, the memory lives on in the physical objects that assisted these defining moments of sports history.
Among the highlights is a pair of Michael Jordan game-worn and dual-signed Player Exclusive Air Jordan Low XIII sneakers (estimate: $500,000-750,000). Jordan wore these photo-matched and dual-signed Air Jordan low XIII sneakers on June 12, 1998, during the first two quarters of Game 5 against the Utah Jazz. The present pair from Jordans second to last game as a Chicago Bull are also photo matched to a pertinent scene in the documentary The Last Dance, where Jordan is holding the pair in his hands while motivating his team.

Pulling a Fleer 20th anniversary card back in 2006/07 allowed the lucky owner to send the card into Upper Deck, returned with an original Fleer Michael Jordan rookie card signed by Michael Jordan. Of the 23 cards released, only 14 cards are known, graded, and in the hands of private collectors. This card is the second highest BGS (Beckett Grading Services) graded UDA signed Fleer #57 cards in existence, and comes with the original UDA congratulations card.

Michael Jordan donned the Jordan XIIIs during his final season with the Chicago Bulls in 1997-98. These deadstock Michael Jordan PE "Flint" XIII come with MJ Sample box, from MJs personal collection. Predominantly blue, grey and white colorway they are a Michael Jordan issued pair never intended to be worn on the court. There are a handful of photos from this season with Michael Jordan wearing this particular colorway off the court. In unworn condition, straight from Michael Jordans personal stock with a Michael Jordan/Bulls sample box, the shoes are correctly MJ PE coded and come accompanied with a SAAS analysis, documenting the authenticity of this rare MJ artifact.

As is typical of Jordans from this era, the original midsoles almost always degraded, so the mint condition of this expertly restored pair makes these sneakers a rare collectors item for an avid collector. The shoes are correctly tagged "891201FT1" in size "13, with Player edition 23 embroidered on both heels. The special 23 font was only available on Michael Jordan game issued Jordan V sneakers. The lot comes with a letter of opinion from SAAS confirming the authenticity of this amazing and rare Fire Red Jordan V sneakers.
