There are several gorgeous hiking trails that go straight from the RV campground so do not waste any hiking time.

Harpers Ferry West Virginia
If you want a luxury spot to park your RV and go hiking then this may be the spot for you. This campground is right off of the Appalachian Trail and a popular spot for people hiking through to stop at. It is a KOA campground complete with a complimentary free breakfast, swimming pool, and a convenient store. Discover beautiful trails and learn about historical events that took place here. If you are a history buff then you will love this location.

Bullards Beach State Park
The next spot is for the beach lovers. This State Park has 100s of full hookups, yurts for rent, toilets and showers, and dump stations along the Oregon coast. Explore 362 miles of trail along the Oregon shore. See gorgeous views of the Pacific Coast on these beach side trails. Truly the best of both worlds.

Grand Canyon North Rim
While the Grand Canyon’s Southern Rim is the most popular, some may argue the North Rim is just as sight worthy. Bridle Trail and the Arizona Trail are easily accessible from the campground. While the campground itself is not as luxurious considering there are no hookups, it may be easier to find a spot there since it is less popular. Thankfully you will not feel like you are missing out on the Southern Rim because there is still plenty to see and lots of trails to hike.

Grinnell Glacier Hike
Located in the gorgeous state of Montana, Many Glacier Campground is a popular spot to park your RV at. RIght off the campground is the Grinnell Glacier Hike which offers some of the most beautiful views in the country. Because of this hike's popularity, it is hard to get a spot at this campground so you would want to plan this further in advance. There are no RV hookups, but there are bathrooms and drinking water.

Cadillac North Ridge Trail
If you have never traveled the New England area, taking a trip to Acadia National Park should be on your list. The Blackwoods Campground is right off of the Cadillac North Ridge Trail with sights of Acadia, forest hills, and Maine’s stunning coastline. This campground is set up for RVs with hook-ups, a dump-station, and is located just fifteen miles from Bar Harbor where you can try out their famous seafood.

The “14ers” of Colorado
For more experienced hikers, bagging a “14er” may be on your bucket list. There are fifty eight peaks over 14,000 feet tall that will give even an expert hiker a challenge. The Buena Vista KOA offers RV sites, glamping locations, and even has a cafe. It is near six of the fifty eight peaks including Mount Harvard which is the tallest at 14,432 feet. If you are looking for a challenge, you may want to put this spot on your list of places to visit.

Pacific Crest Trail
This gorgeous trail located in Washington has become famous because it has been used in books and movies. It is not an easily accessible trail and you will need to drive or hike to a trailhead to see parts of this 2,650 mile-long trail. You may camp out at the La Wis Wis Campground which has over one hundred sites surrounded by the beautiful old-growth forest. This campground is by the White Pass section of the trail, is close to Mount Rainier National Park, and also gives you access to hundreds of miles of trails. This one is definitely a must see.
