LOS ANGELES, CA.- Sean Kelly announced that LA-based Courtney Treut has joined Sean Kelly, Los Angeles, as Senior Director.
Thomas Kelly, Partner and a Director of Sean Kelly, New York, is relocating to Los Angeles, with his family, to lead the new gallery. Together, he and Treut will develop and launch the new LA space in Hollywood at 1357 N Highland Avenue.
Announcing Courtneys appointment, Thomas Kelly stated, All of us at the gallery are delighted that Courtney has joined our growing team. She is a highly respected professional whose impeccable track record and extensive knowledge of the Los Angeles artistic community will be an invaluable asset to the gallery. He continued, Personally, I very much look forward to working with Courtney; I know she will contribute significantly to the gallerys development, roster of artists, presence, and profile in the LA scene.
Treut stated, I am thrilled to join Sean Kelly Gallery in building a dynamic new space and program in LA at such a pivotal and exciting moment for contemporary art in this city. I have long been inspired and energized by the unique art community in Los Angeles and have been fortunate to work with some of the many talented artists here.
Recently relocated from Tokyo to LA, Treut previously worked as a Director at Hauser & Wirth in Los Angeles. Prior to that, she was a Director with Anton Kern Gallery, New York, where she worked closely with several California based artists. Treut began her career at Thea Westreich Art Advisory Services and David Zwirner, New York.
