GLEN COVE, NY.- Following their highly successful series of Winter auctions, Roland Auctions NY in Glen Cove, NY will round out the season by presenting their Multiple Estates auction on Saturday, February 26th at 10am. Previews for the sale will take place on Thursday, February 24th and Friday, February 25th from 10am – 6pm.

To usher out Winter and see in Spring, Roland NY has curated over 750 lots of one-of-a-kind and fresh-to-market Art, Prints, Furniture, Porcelain, Textiles, Silver, Gold and Silver Jewelry, Rugs, Collectibles, Asian Art and Lighting from estates and collectors from all over the Northeast; more treasures from the Upper East Side estate of a prominent NYC interior decorator and the Estate of Roger Prigent - Malmaison, as well as fine American and European antiques from the estate of another discerning East Coast collector.

Fine art being offered will include a Josef Floch (Austrian-American, 1894-1977) oil on canvas titled "Three Sisters". An important painting with excellent provenance: sold directly from the artist to the consignor. This painting was awarded "The Andrew Carnegie Prize" in 1970. [Art: 53" H x 39" W; Frame: 58 1/2" H x 44 1/2" W]. Estimated value $ 25-35,000 and a pair of Continental Capriccios, framed classical oils on canvas, depicting figures in ruins. [Art: 51" H x 35 1/2" W; Frame: 53 1/2" H x 37 3/4" W]. Both relined, with craquelure. Estimate $1,500-2,500.

Very unique bronze sculptures being featured are an After Georg Kolbe: Female Nude Sculpture - Sculpture of a seated woman, in dark green patina over bronze, on a stone base, signed "GK", #1/10. [24 1/2" H x 15" W x 17 1/2" D]. Estimate $5,000-7,500, a Théophile François Somme (French, 1871-1952) "Inspiration" - Bronze Sculpture, gilt bronze and white marble Art Nouveau sculpture of a woman playing a harp, titled on base "Inspiration", on a marble base. [18 1/2" H x 10 1/2" W x 7 1/2" D]. Estimate $2-3,000 and an After Philippe Hiquily - Bronze sculpture of seated nude woman, signed and numbered E.A. 2/6. [20" H x 6" Diam.]. Estimate $1800 – 2400.

Also taking the spotlight will be exquisite antique furniture pieces like a Louis XV-Style Carved Gilt Wood Console- Gilt carved wood console table having an overhanging serpentine green marble top above a front frieze with shell and foliate motifs, a shell carved stretcher connecting the pair of foliate carved cabriole legs. 20th century. [36 1/2" H x 65" W x 32" D (including marble top)]. Estimate $2-4,000, a pair of Louis Majorelle Art Nouveau Cabinets - A pair of kingwood and marble inset bedside night tables, circa 1900, each with an oval candle holder above a marble top and a single drawer, the under tier above a cupboard door. Provenance: Sotheby's, London "Collections" sale, October 31, 2017, lot 294. [41 1/2" H x 15 1/4" W x 13 1/8" D]. Estimate $2-3,000, a pair of Louis XVI-Style Carved Walnut Bergeres - carved and gilt walnut bergeres, with nail head trim. [37 1/2" H x 23 1/2" W x 21" D]. Estimate $3-4,000, a Bronze Mounted Mahogany Bombe Commode - Large-bellied bronze mounted mahogany two-drawer commode, with marble top. [Overall: 36 1/4" H x 55 1/4" W x 23" D]. Cracks and wear to marble top. Estimate $3-4,000 and a pair of English Regency Chiffoniers - English Regency period rosewood chiffoniers, circa 1825, with fine bronze mounts and green marble tops, one door opening to the right and the other to the left, with a secret compartment under the shelves. [54" H x 25 1/4" W x 18" D]. Estimate $2,500-3,500.

Lighting being offered will include a Tiffany-Style Table Lamp - Tiffany-style bronze lamp with slag glass shade. [26" H x 10 1/2" Diam. (base); Shade: 8" H x 17" Diam.].Estimate $2-3,000 and a German Baroque 20-Light Brass Chandelier, probably Lübeck, 17th century, the bulbous body issuing two tiers of scrolled cast candle branches ending in dished drip-pans and turned nozzles; Estimate $2,500-3,500.

Offered in other areas, we’ll see an unusual Steinway & Sons Grand Piano, 1925, in ebony case, originally a player piano, converted to a regular piano, having had the player mechanism removed and the legs adapted. [38 5/8" H x 57" W x 65 5/8" D]. Estimate $5-7,000 and a Carved Wood Centerpiece Bowl w/ Elephants, Carved exotic wood center piece bowl on three carved ebony elephants. [9 5/8" H x 16" Diam.]. In good condition. Estimate $2,500-3,500.
