PASSARIANO, ITALY.-Villa Manin Centre for Contemporary Art presents Luna Park - Fantastic Art, on view through November 6, 2005. In the historical park of Villa Manin 12 international artists present sculptures and installations which focus on the theme of the game and involve the public through a pathway of discovery, experience and amusement. The artists work in different areas of the park– on meadows, along the trails, among trees and plants – and harmonise their interventions with the natural landscape. The forms and the structures created require the involvement of the visitors who can walk through, inhabit or interact with them in multiple and often unexpected ways: colorful benches, huge carnivorous plants, shooting targets, giant board games, etc. The direct participation of the public and the playful aspect of the artistic interventions represent the red thread of Luna Park. Fantastic Art, an initiative aimed at turning the beautiful park of Villa Manin into a more open and engaging place, into a meeting point, a space of interaction and an active reality constantly in process.
