NEW YORK, NY.- Phillips announced an online-only auction in partnership with the nonprofit Noise for Now, which will raise funds and awareness for women’s reproductive rights in the US. Open for bidding from 15-23 February, the eponymous sale will feature works personally donated by contemporary artists such as Lesley Vance, Erin Shirreff, Mariah Robertson, David Mramor, and Sheree Hovsepian. Noise for Now’s proceeds will benefit two important 501(c)(3) charitable organizations — The National Network of Abortion Funds, which helps move financial and logistical barriers to abortion access, and The Abortion Care Network, which aims to create a network for independent providers across the country.

Amelia Bauer, Executive Director of Noise for Now, said, “Access to safe and legal abortion in the US is under the greatest threat since Roe V Wade was decided 49 years ago. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Phillips and all of the incredible artists who recognize the urgency of this moment. The generous donations of their artwork will help raise much needed funds for the organizations on the frontlines of the fight to protect and provide Reproductive Healthcare. It is humbling to stand with these artists in the fight for Abortion Justice.”

John McCord, Phillips’ International Specialist and VP of 20th Century & Contemporary Art, & Patrizia Koenig, Specialist, Co-Head of Day Sale, AVP added, “It is our privilege to work with Noise for Now in raising much-needed awareness for women’s reproductive health and safe abortion access. We are so grateful to the artists who have generously donated their works to this timely cause. We encourage everyone to raise their digital paddles next month to create lasting change by furthering the important missions of these charities.”

Phillips is still actively consigning works for the auction and encourages anyone who may wish to participate to reach out.

Noise for Now was established in 2017 to raise money and awareness for local organizations throughout the US working to provide and protect Reproductive Healthcare including abortion. In the past 5 years, the organization has worked with musicians such as Bon Iver, Kim Gordon, St. Vincent, Cyndi Lauper, Fiona Apple, Cat Power, Fleet Foxes, and Neil Young, actors including Mark Ruffalo, Daryl Hannah, Ione Skye, Alysia Reiner, and Noel Wells and most recently the WNBPA. This auction with Phillips will be the organization's first foray into the fine art world. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the incredible contemporary artists that have reached out to us over the years offering their support for Abortion Justice.
