HONG KONG.- On 3 December, Christie's held three live auctions for the category – The Chang Wei-Hwa Collection of Archaic Jades Part III - Spring and Autumn & Warring States Periods, The Songde Tang Collection - Song Dynasty Ceramics, and Important Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art, generating a combined total of HK$351,020,000/ US$45,270,416.

The Hosokawa Family Collection established solid prices, led by lot 3080 - A SET OF FIVE CHICKEN BLOOD SOAPSTONE SEALS FOR PRINCE DING, DATED TO THE JIAQING 18TH YEAR, CORRESPONDING TO 1813 AND OF THE PERIOD, which sold for HK$2,125,000/ US$274,014 against the pre-sale low estimate of HK$300,000/ US$274,014.

Christie’s offered lot 2976 - A RARE AND IMPORTANT ARCHAIC BRONZE FOOD VESSEL, FANGZUOGUI, EARLY WESTERN ZHOU PERIOD, 11TH-10TH CENTURY BC, which sold for HK$5,000,000/ US$644,738, alongside lot 2952 - A RARE CLOISONNE ENAMEL ‘DRAGON’ TRIPOD CENSER AND COVER, KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722), achieving HK$1,875,000/ US$241,777. The proceeds for both went to benefit The Robert Chang Art Education Charitable Foundation.
