A professional in the fields of art and architecture, Sylvia Rossouw has collaborated on numerous projects as well as exhibitions. As a result of her incredibly hard work, she has earned numerous awards and distinctions. Her energy and work ethic are fueled by her enthusiasm for the arts. The talented artist was a category winner in the Apple Arts Awards that were held in South Africa. In September of 2021 the exceptional artist was given the opportunity to collaborate on a project internationally called La Lunigiana e la sua Anima Etrusca¯ at the Biennale Internazionale Dell' Etruria, Della Rinchiostra, Pamphili, and Massa (MS) under the curatorship of President Quirino Martellini.
Community Attributions
Sylvia Rossouw is invested in her community and tries to contribute as much as she can. Some of her earliest exhibitions were staged in her region of Western Cape, South Africa, to show her affection for her community. At the KKNK Annual National Arts Festival in 1994, she had a solo display at the Civic Center. Another solo exhibition was staged the following year at the International Green Architecture Conference. Among the many group projects she was a part of, she participated in a fundraiser auction called Shhhhhh! in 2014. On Nelson Mandela Day, she also took part in a community-wide mural project at the library. She became a part-time lecturer for a variety of architectural and design disciplines at Cape Province University of Technology (CPUT) a year later. In 2018 and 2019, she served as a mentor to other aspiring architectural candidates as an inspiration.
Road to Becoming an Exceptional Artist
Outstanding talent Sylvia Rossouw studied at South Africa's Nelson Mandela University. She received her Baccalaureus in Building Arts from the university in 1994. She received her Baccalaureus in Architecture four years later. She persisted and earned her Master's Degree in Business Leadership from the UNISA School of Business Leadership in South Africa in 2008. In 2014, she received her Baccalaureus in
Fine Art from the University of Cape Town.
Regarding the Future
Sylvia Rossouw Studio is where Sylvia loves to spend her personal creative time. Her professional art studio is located outside Franschhoek, Western Cape South Africa where all of her video stills, paintings, and installations can be seen.
Past shows: …..Aldila Beyond the Obvious¯ at M.A.D.S. Gallery, Milan and Fuerteventura, 22 October 2022, which was be under the curatorship of Art Directors Carlo Greco and Alessanda Magni.
Future shows….She will be showcasing her work at 2 x international exhibitions, at M.A.D.S. Gallery Milan and Fuerteventura, during November and December 2021. “Hysterica” will open on the 19th of November 2021 and “Sacrifice” will open on the 16th of December 2021, in both Milan and Fuerteventura, simultaneously. For the year 2022, she plans to stage another solo exhibition and start work on an NFT project that will power the collective platform #ARTforCHANGE.
