Modern Living Room Furniture Ideas With Design That Matches Your Style

Are you looking for modern living room furniture ideas that you can incorporate into your home? Boho chic living room furniture is certainly in style and if you love colors, these designs will be perfect for your home. There is a wide range of Bohemian living room decor ideas that you can choose from. These are great bohemian living room design ideas for those who love a bit of an edge but still maintain a sense of stability.

Living Room Decorating Ideas for Indoors with Plants - Using green and Greenery As you all know, greenery is the key to a healthy home; but often we forget about our Indoors. But plants not only make us feel good, but they also help us create a healthier environment to live in. There are many different types of plants that can add color to your space with tables and other furniture, so here are some of my favorites:

Wall Sconces - This may seem like an odd place to hang plants, but this is where indoor plants come into their own. Not only are they easy to move around, but they also give you a beautiful focal point that draws the eye. To achieve the effect you want, tiny plant greenery on the walls, like hydrangeas or roses. You can also try hanging exotic plants from the ceiling if you have enough space. This idea is very unique but very beautiful.

Potted Plants and Furniture - The next thing I recommend is potted plants. You can use pots and frames as tabletop decor or as part of a larger decorative planter. The easiest way to plant these smaller items is on the floor. The larger plant can be suspended by a few hooks from the ceiling and hung from the walls or other furniture.

Folding Chair and Sofa - Sometimes, the easiest way to decorate is by using smaller potted plants. You can easily place them in a corner in your living room and use cushions or pillows to sit on. You can find sofa sets that already have cushions on the bottom, but you can also buy sofa sets that have a variety of shapes and sizes of cushions so you can match your decor. This is a great solution for small spaces, as it eliminates the need for expensive upholstery.

Coffee Table and End Table - This is another area where you can go crazy with your upholstery and other decorating pieces. A coffee table with an interesting shape and style is a beautiful way to dress up your living space. If you don't have room for a coffee table, you can always use a side table as a filler between two couches. If you want to add some interest to the end table, you could place an exotic vase or any other type of vase that would match the style of your sofa set. Putting a plant or even a couple of live flowers in the vase would add some color and freshness to your living room.

Indoor Plants - Many people love to decorate their living rooms with plants but don't have the space or money to grow their own. For those who are green-minded, there is an option of buying or planting indoor plants in pots or containers. Most indoor plants come in different varieties and they are very easy to care for. One of the best things about having indoor plants is that you get to enjoy the beauty of nature without having to do all the work of tending to them. Some examples of easy to care for plants are herbs, ferns, and perennials.

Decorating with Clay, Stone, or Iron - You can decorate your home with different types of material that are made from natural stone, clay, or other metals. If you have an old-fashioned type of decorating taste, you can complement your theme by using wrought iron pillows or by using wooden or fabric pillows. You can also use painted plasters and old furniture pieces to further bring the naturalistic theme of your home.

One idea for bold and edgy modern living room furniture is a coffee table and chair combination of a solid marble slab and a dark chocolate brown velvet sofa. The dark-colored velvet sofa and marble coffee table create a warm and welcoming effect while the deep chocolate brown gives the room the richness and depth of a darker room with a rich texture and richness of coloring. This combination of a sofa and a chair with a deep chocolate brown and deep red backsplash adds a very interesting modern touch to the room. Adding this style of coffee table and chair combination can update a classic neutral living room into a bold modern one.

Other bold modern living room decor ideas that use strongly contrasting colors and textures are using an accent chair with a very unique design that incorporates organic materials from nature such as wood, rattan, wicker, and rattan. The living room will pop when these rustic accents are combined with a modern flat-screen television with thick glass walls and a comfortable deep seating area around a wood coffee table. Using plants with bold greens and reds, this Bohemian look can also include colorful ceramic or terracotta planters in the base of the coffee table. Adding these subtle and striking plant choices will update the home without a drastic change that would be too dramatic.
