Morton Subastas organises first crypto art auction in Latin America
In alliance with ARTEREUM, Morton Subastas will offer 22 NFTs, Latin American digital art protected with OARO Eco-NFT blockchain technology which preventS their reproduction.

MEXICO CITY.- In a sale that is the starting point for the digital art market in Mexico, Morton Subastas, in collaboration with the ARTEREUM platform, will hold from September 6th to the 11th the 1st NFT Auction: Latin America is Crypto Art, where more than 22 digital pieces will be available, all created by renowned artists.

The catalog can be consulted both at www.mortonsubastas.com and at https://artereum.io/ where you will find the works of analog artists who on this occasion present their first work of digital art, as well as works by crypto artists with some years of experience in the work on virtual support. Starting prices range from 900 to 2,300 dollars. In this auction, interested participants can leave their bids during these five days, and on September 11th at 12:00pm the winners will be announced.

The NFTs that will be sold by ARTEREUM and Morton Subastas consist of JPG images, MP4 videos, GIF or animations, and even a piece of music. NFT technology allows the blockchain to protect the piece from potential alteration or copyright infringement. These works are capable of offering new aesthetic experiences, preserving their value as art, and each is a unique piece.

Nowadays, a work of art may not have a physical format, but can be virtual, that is, the creation is digital and like a museum painting, unique and unrepeatable; it can maintain its artistic aura and be protected from reproduction by means of encryption, thus guaranteeing its authenticity- an alternative and new method that favors the future of the art world.

Specifically, Non Fungible Token (NFT) are considered collectible because of their nature, thanks to their characteristics of being indivisible and their registration with blockchain guaranteeing that they can never be replicated or interchangeable, thus providing proof of property.

ARTEREUM operates with Eco-NFTs on OARO's private cloud blockchain platform, a more environmentally friendly alternative than the NFTs created on the public Ethereum blockchain, with an electricity consumption similar to that of a household per minute, with a CO2 emission related of approximately 0.2g, equivalent to the weight of a feather.

The collaboration between Morton Subastas and ARTEREUM (OARO Eco-NFT) is proof of the interest that exists in exploring different markets and ideal spaces for creativity.

Last June the work "VIVA" by Juan Carlos del Valle was sold in Mexico. It exceeded its original value three times over, selling for 110,880 pesos, a fact that gave rise to Morton Subastas continuing its commitment to the NFT drops. Technology has made it possible for a generation of new artists to rethink the formats in which works are created and marketed.

Among the 22 works that will be offered during the week of the sale there are works by the Mexicans Yunuene, Christian Borbolla, Manuel Larrea, Carla Elena, Fernando Penhos and Martha Maya, among others.

Interested participants can make their bids through the ARTEREUM platform, which can be directed through the Morton Subastas website.
