SAN FRANCISCO, CA.- Turner Auctions + Appraisals will present a Cabinet of Curiosities, Decorative Arts & More on Saturday, July 10, 2021. Featuring over 290 lots from multiple collectors and estates, the sale offers a wide range of items from around the world, from the 17th century to the present day.

Unusual items include original cels from Disney’s “Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs;” a Sepik River mask; a Gothic-style religious triptych; silvered Aztec warrior busts; an erotic Meerschaum pipe; and several antique weapons. Among the many artworks are paintings by Chuck J. Sabatino, Harry Raymond Henry, and David Allen Halbach; Jules Chéret lithographs; antique botanical plates by Mark Catesby; antique maps by Pierre Lepautre and Joan Blaeu; several bronze sculptures; a pen & ink drawing by Charles Schulz; and a selection of erotic photographs. There are several pieces of furniture, including an Italian Rococo table and several games tables, plus clocks from Tiffany and Leroy & Fils.

Porcelain, majolica and china come from Herend, Havilland, Gien, Limoges, Wedgewood, and Cauldon; with glassware by Lalique, Baccarat, and Steuben. There is sterling or silverplate tableware, serving ware, and flatware from Tiffany, Christofle and George III. Pottery makers include Daum, Studio Art, Utopian, and Rookwood, plus an extensive collection of Moorcroft.

Wearables include jackets, a coat, and a cape of mink; silver or gold rings, some with turquoise or jade; and groupings of vintage jewelry. From Japan are prints, a gilt lantern, and table box; from China come silk embroidered jackets, cloisonné pieces, vases, export ceramics, an incense burner, bronze pheasants, and an array of snuff bottles. Completing the sale are an antique altar pricket, carousel models and music boxes, books, ambro- and tintype images, and stereoscope Diableries photos.

Turner Auctions + Appraisals begins its online auction on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 10:30 am PST; sale
items are available for preview and bidding now. The auction will be featured live on multiple platforms: LiveAuctioneers, Invaluable, Bidsquare, the Saleroom, iCollector, and Turner Auctions + Appraisals’ free mobile app, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Apps ("Turner Auctions"). Here are some highlights of the upcoming sale:

Lot 107: Tiffany Sterling Flatware Hamilton Pattern. Circa 1930. 47 pieces: Six each of dinner forks, salad forks, dinner knives, and teaspoons. One butter knife. Four each of hors d'oeuvres forks, soup spoons, demi-tasse spoons and serving spoons. Two large serving spoons. One each of pierced fruit server, butter knife, pie server and meat fork. Condition: Good, minor tarnish. No monograms. Estimate $3,000 - $4,000.

Lot 60: Harry Raymond Henry (1882 - 1974). Medium: Oil on canvas. Title: Landscape. Size: 16" x 20" (sight) 19.5" x 23.5" (frame). Signature: Lower left. Condition: Good. Estimate $1,000 - $1,500.

Lot 2: Italian Rococo Console Table. The faux marble painted top over a frieze of carved gilt floral swags. 30in. h. 34in. l. Condition: Some loss to faux top and gilt, but good condition for age and use. Estimate $600 - $800.




Lot 75: Allan Houser (Haozous) Bronze. (1914-1994, Native American) Abstract figure of a woman 81/100. Figure: 2 3/4in (6cm). Overall: 3 1/2in (9cm). Condition: Very good. Estimate $400 - $600.

Lot 10: Leroy & Fils French Empire Gilt Mantle Clock. The clock face inscribed LeRoy & Fils a Paris enclosed in a gilt acanthus frame raised on a plinth base with abundant cornucopia and Classical urn. 15in. h. Condition: Very good. Clock works not warranted. Estimate $400 - $600.

Lot 68: Chuck J. Sabatino (Born 1935). Medium: Oil on canvas. Title: Plains Parfleche. Size: 23.5" x 29.5" (sight). 25" x 31.5" (frame). Signature: Lower right. Condition: Good. Estimate $1,500 - $2,500.

Lot 276: 19th-Century Asian Cloisonne Figural Vessel. Depicting a mirthful boy astride a gentle mythological beast. 9in. h. 7in. l. Condition: Very good, very minor pitting. Estimate $500 - $700.

Lot 93: Charles Monroe Schulz (1922 - 2000). Medium: Pen and ink on paper board with a colored onion-paper leaf. Title: Christmas. Size: 7" x 6.5" (sight). 10.25" x 8" (paper size). Signature: Lower left. Condition: good. Estimate $800 - $1,200.

Lot 158: Moorcroft Pottery. Vase Decorated in Spanish Pattern. 10in. (25cm) h. Paper Label on Base. Condition: Very good. Estimate $150 - $200.

Lot 132: Early Men’s Rolex Watch. Number: 23106, 2317. Estimate $400 - $600.

Lot 282: Chinese Silk Embroidered Jackets. Circa 1930. Greatest length 32in. (81cm) Condition: The pink jacket in very good condition. Some fraying at edges of neck and hem and fading to the brown jacket. Estimate $200 - $300.

Beginning in 1669 the architect Louis Le Vau began a renovation of the chateau and gardens. Louis XIV officially moved the Royal court to Versailles in 1682. Note: large item to ship. Estimate $3,000 - $5,000.
