SYRACUSE, NY.- The Everson Museum of Art launched its newly redesigned website and brand identity.

The new visual identity was designed by creative studio In House International, with contributions from a wide team of designers, illustrators, typographers, and web developers. The brand, already on display at everson.org, provides visitors with an enhanced user experience and an improved navigation system. The site's vibrant new color palette, information architecture, and user-friendly format will also allow the Everson to better engage with the local community and online visitors from all around the world.

The new site features include an interactive map of the building, a full listing of education resource guides, and, coming soon, a new online shop for Museum gift purchases — including swag, garments, and stationary with the updated colorful brand.

On partnering with the Everson to refresh its brand, In-House International’s CEO, Michu Benaim Steiner said, “My first thought after setting foot in the Everson was, 'this is a jewel.' Our team, led by studio partner Lope Gutierrez-Ruiz, was conscious of the need to honor the legacy of this trailblazing Museum while creating a brand that stands out and feels friendly, fun, and modern. I think we achieved this goal and are extremely proud to have worked on this project with the Everson.”

A welcome statement on the new website reads, "The Everson is changing – and as we evolve, our website and branding need to evolve too. Our goal was to create a visual manifestation of our values. With this aim, we carefully considered the pillars of our work that should guide us through this process."

The statement continues with the following list of stated values for its new brand and overall organizational charge:

• Community-Centered: The Everson is a community-powered institution that is open, inclusive, and welcoming. We strive to be a source of local pride that people feel is their own.

• Vibrant: The Everson provides active, dynamic, exciting opportunities to engage with art, artists, and educational offerings. Its one-of-a-kind physical space is home to a wide range of community activities. Our collection and programming are alive and reflect the ongoing evolution of the institution.

• Pioneering: The Everson has a long and continuing history of firsts, and is constantly exploring new avenues that are bold, innovative, and experimental.

• For Wonder: The Everson fosters curiosity and surprise in visitors of all ages. It provides an unfurled environment where new perspectives and possibilities are born.

The Everson's overhaul comes as many state-mandated restrictions lift to allow for more in-person programming and gatherings to return to the Everson's trademark space.

"Each week, more and more visitors are returning to the Museum, and we can't wait to bring people back together again for classes, events, and incredible performances in our auditorium," said Everson Director Elizabeth Dunbar. "We hope the new site will encourage people to reacquaint themselves with the Everson if it's been a while, or inspire others to get to know us for the first time!"
