Modern Masterpiece: Palms Casino Resort Suit for $100.000 Per Night

Las Vegas has a reputation for being a luxury city, but anyone who has ever visited it knows that its “luxury life” is usually worth it. The Palms Casino Resort has introduced suites that will require genuine generosity from you. The two-story space, designed by famous artist Damien Hirst in collaboration with architecture firm Bentel & Bentel, includes six original artworks, as well as about 30,000 square meters of scenery designed by Hirst himself. May the $10 million suit cost $100.000 per night? Perhaps, yes.

A Floor-Sized Piece of Art
Company officials have not disclosed how much it cost to build the apartment, but Frank Fertitta, Chairman, and CEO of Red Rock Resorts claimed: “If you look at the individual elements in the interior, you might be able to guess some of them. Previously, they were sold at auction, and you can imagine the overall scale of them.”

Perhaps, you will never find an online roulette casino able to provide visitors with such privileges. The suit is provided free of charge to Palms Casino’s major players with $1 million or more of the credit line. On the other hand, for those who prefer to pay in cash, two nights in a suite will cost $200,000.

You will find artistic features in everything: dining chairs, pillows, headboards, tiles, appliqués, stone butterflies, and the price for a room continues to increase in value. “This is where you really feel Damien’s talent. He created a floor-sized piece of art,” said Lorenzo Fertitta, Vice-President, and Head of Red Rock Resorts.

What Exactly Makes This Suit Notable?

1) Living room
Hirst designed the unique “pill appliqués” on the windows, as well as embroidered sofa cushions and a coffee tabletop. Butterflies and pills are embroidered on chairs and cushions. The “pill” wall covering is a part of Hirst’s original design.

The famous Hirst sharks in formaldehyde serve as a wall between zones. The Winner/Loser artwork surrounds the playroom with a billiard table. Meanwhile, the 18-foot work “Winner Takes All” is filled with cubic zirconia.

2) Bedroom
There is a painting “Casino Royale” by Hirst located over the bed - an original artwork with real butterflies laid out on canvas. In the rest of the room, butterflies also play a major role: the curtains and carpet were designed by Hirst to accompany the painting.

3) Terrace
An infinity pool-sized jacuzzi overlooks Las Vegas. Laser-cut butterflies are inlaid in the jacuzzi tiles on the terrace.

If you put these compositions together, you quickly get about $10 million spent on art only. One of Hirst’s animals, although smaller than the shark in a hotel room, was sold for $4.4 million. The butterfly painting was sold for $614,000 at Sotheby’s in London. Therefore, this hotel suit is definitely worth your attention not only as a place for relaxation but also as a piece of art.
