Move It
It is very hard to fall asleep if you are moving. Moving will keep you awake, and it also gets your blood pumping which is going to boost your mood and energy, and this allows you to get work done. There was a study done by Robert Thayer, Ph.D. that compared the energizing effect of a ten-minute brisk work and a candy bar. Walking increased energy for two hours. Those who ate the candy bar experienced an initial boost in energy, but after an hour, they started to feel more tired and less energetic.

exercises you can do without having to leave your desk.
Eating a Small Healthy Snack
If you want to get an
energy boost from eating, make sure you choose something small and healthy. If you don’t want a slump after eating, stay away from sugary and fattening snacks. Go with something rich in protein, such as almonds. When you consume foods that have a combination of proteins and complex carbs (they are digested slower compared to simple carbs), your blood glucose increases in a sustained way. This is going to boost your energy longer. Some other options include cheese, a spoonful of peanut butter with celery, or a glass of low-fat or skim milk.
Blasting Your Favorite Upbeat Song
Have you ever been on the wheel then your favorite song plays? How do you feel? What do you do? If you are like most people, you increase the volume and sing along to it. maybe you start bouncing to the beat. This makes you feel energized and happy.
Play a song that perks you up, whether because of its lyrics or beats. Turn on the song and start feeling your energy rise.
Having a drink

A cup of coffee has also been shown to help in boosting energy, but you should be careful not to overdo it.
Stay away from sugary drinks such as juice or soda, because they can end up having the opposite effect. You start to feel more fatigued.
Taking a Break
It is not a good idea to try and power through an energy slump because it is going to affect your level of productivity, mood, and concentration. This is why it might be a good idea to take a short break from work. Many studies have shown how beneficial short breaks are. You are going to achieve more and be more productive if you choose to take breaks. People who take breaks saw an increase in their performance and accuracy.
The Pomodoro technique is a popular work/break system you can use. This is where you split your work blocks into 25-minute chunks then take short breaks. This will help you avoid fatigue.
Getting some natural light
People work better when there is
natural light, making it a good idea to have the desk close to a window. Sunshine is good for your productivity and energy levels. Going outside and getting a few minutes by walking outside is going to enhance your memory, mood, and ability to absorb new information. If you need a boost in energy, go outside and get some sunshine or open the blinds and let the light in.
Getting Social
Social media is a great source to boost energy and connect, but the better option is calling a friend and having a chat.
