Maintaining your health is a priority no matter what, and different working places always have different workplace safety rules and protocols regarding safety that you have to follow. No matter if you work at a construction site, oil and gas industry, or any hazardous place that contains flammable or exploding materials.

The IOGP made some health and safety rules to maintain the workplace environment to reduce the number of fatalities that cause and take thousands of people's lives. Along with IOGP life saving rules the health and safety rules are equally important.

People who work in unsafe areas that contain hazardous substances are at high risk of getting sick due to the smoke and other harmful gases.

Besides health, it also orders them to maintain their workplaces and provide safety equipment to the workers to make their workings safer.

The health and safety rules also cover personal safety for different working persons and even residential people. It has nine different rules for diverse professions. Including construction site safety practices to make these sites safer for the workers as these construction sites have a lot of dust and other harmful or hazardous objects that could harm human health.

It also covers driving rules; we all know road accidents are one of the major issues that take people's lives in minutes just because of any single mistake. It orders the people who drive on the road to avoid various things and follow road guidelines properly to reduce the road accidents

IOGP also made safety concerns for the diving operations to make them extra safe by performing the practices. The minor mistakes in the diving operations can cause fatalities which could take lives.

People working in the unsafe environments should frequently take safety measures to avoid fatalities as their life is always at risk due to several issues. According to the survey, 376 people died due to not following the IOGP life-saving rules properly.
These rules are made for every person, company, and industry to make the working environments safer to save people's lives.
