Dog Shock Collar guides

In the past shock collars have been looked down upon. Some people believed that the stimulation administered to the dog were painful and unethical. With the technological advances in the industry this is no longer the case. Shock training is proven to be an effective way of training a dog, with the proper knowledge of course. Below is a guide for you to better understand the features of a shock collar.

Dog Shock Collar Features:

Stimulation levels

One of the major technological advances of the shock collar is the ability of the trainer to administer wide ranges of stimulation. The days of low, medium, and high stimulation are long gone.

Along with different intensity levels for stimulation, shock collars are now able to administer continuous and momentary stimulation. Continuous stimulation delivers an electronic stimulation for as long as the trainer holds down the button. For instance, if the trainer holds down the button for 5 seconds the dog will receive 5 seconds of stimulation. There is also momentary stimulation which delivers only one short burst of stimulation no matter how long the button is pushed. Also now very popular electric dog fences, so that your dog does not run away from home, feel free and happy.

Range

Shock collars vary in ranges from couple hundred feet up to mile. It is unnecessary to purchase a shock collar with a range of a mile if you are only training your dog for basic obedience training and vice versa.

Transmitter

Transmitters vary in shapes and sizes. Personal preference is crucial when choosing the type of transmitter to use. A trainer has to be comfortable handling the transmitter for long periods of time during training sessions.

Integrated Collar Design

Reliable remote dog shock collars should have intelligent engineering with internal antenna to avoid being caught up from the dog's body. And of course, waterproof collars are highly recommended if you intend to train your dog around the water.

Also remember to look after your yard. A great solution is to use a push lawn mower. You can be sure your pet will be satisfied.
