DALLAS, TX.- The highest-graded copy of one of the rarest Sega Genesis games could spark competitive bidders among video game collectors and collectors of the King of Pop in Heritage Auctions' Comics & Comic Art Signature Auction. The Jan. 14-17 event that will bring some of the most coveted video games in the market to the auction block.

It has been confirmed that Wata has yet to encapsulate a finer example of Michael Jackson's Moonwalker - Wata 9.8 A++ Sealed, GEN Sega 1990 USA, one of the rarest sealed games for the Sega Genesis, making it the single highest-graded copy of the side-scrolling adventure starring the King of Pop.

"Locating a factory-sealed copy poses an intense challenge for Sega Genesis collectors, regardless of its condition." Heritage Auctions Video Games Director Valarie McLeckie said, "It can not be overstated just how special it is to find a copy in this superior level of preservation."

A sealed copy of Donkey Kong – Wata 8.5 B Sealed [No Rev-A, Round SOQ, Mid Production], NES Nintendo 1986 USA is the only sealed copy of the title that has been graded by Wata to-date. Further, the variant of the offered copy is said to be the rarest for the title, and is purported to be the lone sealed copy of this version.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters - Wata 9.6 A Sealed, NES Konami 1993 USA is said to be the rarest video game in the Turtles franchise on the Nintendo Entertainment System, which is no secret to longtime collectors. Despite being nearly 30 years old, this condition of this copy is nothing short of extraordinary and looks quite nearly brand-new.

The copy of Super Mario Land - Wata 8.5 A+ Sealed [Green Screenshots, First Production], GB Nintendo 1989 USA is a true collector's find, from one of the very first production runs of the title. Game Boy games with screenshots on the back of the box in a green-tinted hue indicate its variant. Much in the way the "Left Bros" variety of Super Mario Bros. 3 is considered a different beast than its "Right Bros" counterpart, these "Green Screenshot" copies of early Game Boy titles are vastly more difficult to come by than the "Yellow Screenshot" variety – which are hard enough to find as it is! Other highlights include, but are not limited to:Pokemon Blue Version - Wata 8.5 A+ Sealed [Sandshrew, "Blue" text, Mid-Production], GB Nintendo 1998 USASuper Mario Bros. 2 - Wata 9.4 A Sealed [Oval SOQ TM, Later Production], NES Nintendo 1988 USASnatcher - Wata 8.5 A Sealed, SegaCD Konami 1994 USAStreet Fighter Alpha 2 - Wata 9.2 A+ Sealed [Made in Japan], SNES Nintendo 1996 USA

Ikari Warriors - Wata 9.4 B Sealed [No Rev-A, Round SOQ, Mid-Production], NES SNK 1987 USA
