NEW YORK, NY.- Christies sale series Latest x Greatest, achieved a combined total of $4,679,875 across three online-only sales spanning post-war and contemporary art, prints and luxury categories.

In its final 20th Century Auction of the year in New York, Christies First Open | Online auction totaled $3,795,625. Kenny Scharfs Marge Simpson, 1992-97, led the sale having quadrupled its high estimate to realize $375,000, the second highest price ever achieved by the artist at auction. Also eclipsing its presale estimate, Sam Gilliams Dancing Scene from 1991, realized $325,000, and the top auction price for a post 1990s work by the artist. A strong result was also achieved by Untitled PII by Larry Poons, which realized $175,000.
BEHIND THE BOX: 1994-2020 | 1 DECEMBER - 15 DECEMBER

Christies first dedicated sale to Supreme, Behind The Box: 1994-2020 (December 1-15) achieved a total of $404,250. The sale attracted 63% new bidders with global participation across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
Carefully curated by renowned Supreme historian Ross Wilson, and sourced from the vaults of some of the world's most prominent collectors, the portfolio featured the most iconic and desirable Supreme items spanning the label's entire 26 year timeline. The top lot of the sale was A Supreme/Stern Pinball Machine from Max Fish, NYC, that sold for over three times its estimate realizing $81,250.
Additionally, offered for private sale and presented in a virtual exhibition through Spring 2021 is The Box Logo Collection, the only known comprehensive archive of Supreme box logo t-shirts ever curated. Expected to realize in the region of $2 million, this is poised to be the most valuable collection of Supreme material to ever be offered in a single sale.
MURAKAMI/NARA | 24 NOVEMBER 11 DECEMBER
SALE TOTAL: $ 480,000
Christies New York Murakami/Nara, an online-only auction devoted to editions and works on paper by Yoshitomo Nara and Takashi Murakami, achieved a total $480,000 with 93% sold by lot and 100% sold by value.
The top lot of the sale was Yoshitomo Naras Guitar Girl, which realized $50,000. Additional works by Nara achieved strong results, including On the F-Word, which achieved $47,500 and 箱の中の女の子 Girl in a Box, which sold for $43,750.
The sale also saw strong results for works by Takashi Murakami, including Making a U-Turn, the Lost Child Finds his Way Home, which sold for $13,750; Snow, Moon, Flower, which realized $12,500; and Flip Flap, which achieved $11,875.
