Police Department in Winter Haven Finds 47 Pounds of Cannabis in Vehicle



Logan of Winter Haven police discovered 47 pounds of cannabis in a criminal’s vehicle very early on Sunday morning.

The Winter Haven Police Department stated that the legitimate traffic halt later became over a notification to put on the headlights. 

Ronal Augustin, 37, of the 300 square of Ave L NE, Winter Haven is currently facing several charges, which now includes the dealing with cannabis in excess of 25 pounds, ownership of guns by indicted criminal, possession of a gun, possession of drug transport vehicle, conveying hidden possession of weapon and drug paraphernalia.

Ronal Augustin, 37, of Winter Haven is facing several criminal charges.

K-9 Officer Garcia recognized the vehicle soon after 12 PM on Sunday morning. The police clarified "As the official was talking with Augustin, he suspected that what he saw was pot and inquired as to whether there was anything illicit in the vehicle," Augustin informed the official that the weed the officer is smelling was only coming from his clothes as he has previously smoked weed.

Police indicated that Augustin offered a terminated clinical cannabis card. The police then asked if he could search and Augustin agreed when Officer Garcia called for his K-9 partner Logan during the search and Logan instantly notified.

Police stated that they discovered huge bags in the vehicle containing pot bundled in heat-fixed plastic sacks looking like squares. 

Police indicated that they additionally discovered a stacked handgun on the wood plank by the side of the driver close to the brake pedal and the handgun was discovered to be taken from Clayton County Georgia. 

Additionally, Augustin was given two traffic references for open compartment and working a vehicle without headlights.
